This was a great way to explore different areas of Birmingham city centre. Knowing the area well it was wonderful to discover and learn new things about a place I had grown up in. We loved working out the puzzles and following the treasure maps we had a really good time. Can’t wait to do one in another city.

Birmingham. Throughly enjoyed the who experience. You get to learn so much history that you would normally pass by. Been disabled wasn’t sure if I would be ok as was just me and my adult son, but apart from maybe the canal which with a wheelchair be careful as a bit tight it is easily wheelchair accessible. The whole thing is so well thought out with hints if stuck and at the end a map and your score.
So many places you can stop and have a drink be it alcohol or tea coffee.
For me with the whole covid thing been outside is a bonus.
Did Liverpool the other day and that was amazing but I did have to sit a few stops out with my wheelchair but didn’t spoil it for us.
Can’t rate it enough. Intend doing York, Chester and Manchester in the near future. Then the others further afield with overnight stops as live in South Yorkshire .

We had an absolutely fabulous time! I was a little dubious when my mom suggested for us to do the treasure hunt with family visiting from overseas. But all of us (from 10 y/o to 61 y/o) we had such a fabulous time. Loved the tips for places to stop along the hunt, and had such a wonderful, memorable day. Thank you so much! 100% recommend for all ages.
Also have lived in Birmingham for 24 years and have never noticed/known the stuff included! Educational as well as fun!

We fancied an adventure day out and found this which looked like just the ticket. Starting at the School of Art we set off on a quest to get to our pirate ship. Us being fans of fancy dress we decided to bring props to amuse ourselves and we had a great time. Clues varied from quite straight forward to quite tricky (but all made sense when you found out the answer!)
We had fun wandering the city and found out facts we didn’t know even tho we both live near the city- always good to impress!
We used two hints, were brilliantly lucky with the weather (it wouldn’t have been a problem in worse weather but hey who doesn’t like staying dry) and successed in our quest. A great day.

We played treasure hunt Birmingham with some friends when we were visiting Birmingham and it was great fun! The route showed us some lovely bits of the city I’ve not seen before like down near the canal and showed off the best of Birmingham. It was a great thing to do with our friends as the game lead us round and meant that they could relax and not have to play host for us. We had fun solving the clues and spotting all the unusual things that the game pointed out. We took it at our own pace and had a great time catching up as we went round.
We played in the summer when Covid restrictions were lifted, but it would be a great game to play with social distancing as everyone plays it on their own phone and it’s all outside.

We really enjoyed our treasure hunt yesterday.
It was my husband’s 50th birthday and I was stuck for ideas to celebrate in the current lockdown. We found the treasure hunt via google (things to do outdoors) and the Visit Birmingham website. We were unsure as to what to expect but thought if nothing else a couple of hours walk would do us all good and burn off some of the Christmas calories.
As it happens the afternoon far exceeded our expectations and we had great fun. Our son (22) and daughter (18) enjoyed it also and our only regret was not being able to have a couple of drinks in the pubs along the way! I am from the area and my husband has lived here for 25 years. We both work in the city centre and have walked the streets many times without noticing some of the buildings and monuments that were in the trail. It was great to see the city through different eyes and that of a ‘visitor’. The clues were challenging but not impossible to solve and the hints made sure that you were not stuck for long.
All in all it took us around two hours to complete walking at a steady pace. On a warmer day post lockdown you could easily make a day of it stopping for a drink or two on the way.
I would really recommend and will be looking this up if we are in any of the other destinations.

Amazing couple of hours had by all!
My Parents lives in Birmingham over 40 years ago and had never been to half the places that we visited on the treasure hunt.
Even though it was raining on and off (typical British summer) we still managed to have a laugh and complete the hunt!
We would highly recommend and can’t wait to visit other cities in the auk that have a treasure hunt!
