Rather lovely
Apr 2021
Whilst not oozing with many myriads of beauty and viviacious colour, Castle Bromwich hall gardens is a very neat, well-maintained collection of horticulture, which serves as a pint-sized (you get the impression they do all they absolutley can with what they've got), chilled out pause of greenary stuck in the middle of the frenetic movements of motorways and suburbia.
They've curated their nature very well and in doing so have created a mellow ambience, one which reflects the hall so much you fully expect a wealthy Victorian to emerge from the house to inspect his gardens!

One quibble though is the maze. Leaving aside my struggles to complete it, I was rather perturbed by the prickles and thorns that overhung the shubbery and grazed my being. This wasn't so bad bneath skies that demanded the wearing of long sleeves and trousers, but I imagine on balmier days that demand a decreasing of clothimg, they may prick exposed flesh rather sharply.

Despite living almost on its doorstep, this was my first trip to this cheaply-priced sanctuary, and now I've discovered it, it won't be my last.

Christmas Market
Dec 2020
Spent a lovely time at the garden’s Christmas market yesterday. Best described as small but perfectly formed with few tasteful stalls, musical entertainment and the opportunity to have a coffee. The whole experience really hit the spot. Thank you.

Our favourite place to visit.
Aug 2020 • Couples
Castle Bromwich Hall Gardens is a perfect place for peace, the gardens itself is huge and calming. My husband and i have visited the gardens for a few years , this year we renewed our vows at the gardens. With the current climate CBHG follow the correct protocol to ensure saftey of there vistors with hand washing and santising stations on the premises. The events held at the gardens are within the social distancing too so perfect for those who are anxious about the current situation. CBHG is a perfect venue for weddings and other occasion. The booking process is easy and the staff make it easier.

Dogs are allowed on short leads and throughout the year they do events suitable for all ages.

If your a garden lover its definitely worth the visit. We love it so much we became life time members.

Best fiver I've spent all year
Aug 2020
Spent 3 hours today at the gardens bank holiday Stringalong event. 4/5 different bands playing and a jam session at the end - I good afternoon out and the best fiver I've spent all year. Great musicians in a nice setting and plus time to wander around the gardens. Loved the holly maze and overall layout of the gardens but they do need to get a few volunteers to sort out the weeds.

aww thank you Graham. It was a great day wasn't it.I think all of us -musicians included - were grateful to be out and about and listening to live music... and the Gardens are just the spot, especially on our socially distanced times.. Yes, weeding.... an especially 'perennial' problem this time of year - its like painting the Forth bridge. We were astounded at how marvellously the Gardens were looked after during lockdown. Most of our 70 volunteers have been 'allowed' back now, but of course weed growth and holiday times also co-incide...

Green oasis in urban spraw.
Aug 2020
Beautifully well maintained and designed gardens set out in its 16th century layout with many plants, fruits and trees from that period. Family friendly with many activity days on offer with additional community events of music and plays. Normally there would be a 1940's weekend around May time. Other open day events such as Apple Day to visit.

A annual ticket is on offer offering 15 months access to the gardens instead of the normal 12 months to enjoy all the seasons of the year. There is also a small shop offering hot and cold drinks with snakes and a few gift idea. I personally recommend the scone with jam and cream and tea packs.

The gardens are very safe and secure to visit during Covid-19 with precautions and safety taken seriously.

Beautiful oasis for all including dogs permitted on leads. £5 ad and £1 per child (July 2020 admission)....run by volunteers and it needs your support!

Lovely different themed sections set amongst the walled perimeter.

Covid secure, huge marquee for events.

Beautiful gardens! So peaceful. Went on a rainy day but that didn’t make a difference, me and my Mom still had a lovely walk around. Would highly recommend a visit! (The staff were really friendly also).
