This square is located in Birmingham city centre and it is close to the main train station, the hyatt hotel, the ICC, the canals and the biggest library in the UK.

Spent sometime walking round Centenary Square. Found it very busy with the Christmas Markets and the Wheel and Ice rink. Makes for a pleasant 2 hours shopping and sightseeing around the area and with a nice walk to the ICC and the Canals. Big rebuilding programme going on at present and hard to find a short cut thru to New... More

Since my college days i've always referred to this square as the centre of Birmingham. It is easy to find and it's close to Broad Street and Brindley Place so it's ideal for a night out. The new library maybe now stands out because of it's architecture but it remains and enjoyable spot of this wonderful city.

Good open space in front of the new library and is used for many events. Also the walk way through from the city to the Symphony Hall and Brindley Place. Also home to the Repertory Theatre.

The Centenary Square is in the heart of the Birmingham City Centre located as a connector to the REP, ICC and Library. This hosts events also such as the Ice Skating Rink, Big Wheel and German Market. http://www.iceskatebirmingham.co.uk/

In addition to the fine buildings and statues to be seen here, there always seems to be something happening, such as outdoor music festivals and the like. So even if you aren't coming here to go to one of the theatres, the magnificent library, the ICC etc etc - it is worth coming simply for a wander round. Great place.

Centenary Square is one of the three squares I like to walk around. Sometimes is a route to and from the Library of Birmingham and sometimes to the Rep or ICC. Today its to the Library. I always stop to admire the Typical Birmingham Family, a sculpture of two Asian women, one pregnant and two boys. There was a lot... More
