I've been going to the Lickey Hills regularly since I was small (1980's), but visits have become much more frequent over the last couple of years with my now 3 year old son. it's a great place to get a couple of hours fresh air and exercise, splash in puddles, squelch through mud and scramble up and down hills. The... More

We visited the Lickey hills country park this week and love it up there. The scenery is amazing and you can see for miles. We parked at the Lickey hill's visitor centre car park. There is always plenty of car park spaces available. There is couple of walks you can do and you just follow the coloured arrows throughout the... More

Easily accessed from the city of Birmingham where you can take a break from city life and get away from it all, without having to venture too far away. Lovely place to take a walk of your own length, suitable for families with younger and older children. There are paths suitable for push chairs but you can't venture off these... More

Lots of waymarked walks and other tracks. Popular with families and dog walkers. Free parking but tight at busy times.

10 minutes from the centre of Birmingham and the M42 this is the most beautiful of arboretum parks. Many paths criss cross the landscape and good walking shoes are necessary although main paths are well maintained. Small childrens park next to the visitors centre/cafe keeps kids also entertained and dog walkers find this a lovely place too. Fantastic especially as... More

Over the years we have been countless time for walks in the 'Lickeys'. A great place with so many different walks possible. A bit hilly depending on the route you take, but always so full of nature, despite not far from the city. My advice is go thee early May when you can discover beautiful meadows full of flowers in... My favourite place on Birmingham!... and my dog's and 8 year old daughter! We love going there for a walk from Monument Lane to the golf course and pub and back up the hill to monument lane. Good to fly a kite when it is windy and to have a picnick when it is hot.
