Visited Sarehole Mill this afternoon, had a lovely Latte and husband had a Margherita Pizza which he enjoyed. As it was drizzling with rain we sat in a Pod so we were nice and dry. There were plenty of tables available with a few inside the Cafe with some more in the Courtyard and some also in a barn. The staff were excellent and super friendly. The Museum/Mill part was closed but we had a pleasant walk around the water seeing ducks, coots and squirrels with a good view of the Mill. Would recommend a visit.

If you're a fan of Tolkien, this is definitely somewhere to visit as it inspired him while writing LOTR. Also check out the nearby Moseley Bog and do your own Tolkien tour. Nice little tea shop here to have a cuppa while reading.

Planned a trip here a week ago and was disappointed to find that the museum is still not open - it does not mention this anywhere on the website so felt like a bit of a wasted trip as that is why we went. We had 'pizza in the courtyard' which is a lovely location but doesn't feel like they are making the most of the beautiful space. Set up was also quite odd, placing your food order and paying prior to being shown to your seat It's a shame as it could be amazing.

Booked online for this event running during COVID compliance. It was great. We were lucky with the weather. Cold but dry. You only have 1 and a half hours at your table because it’s then booked for others
Clean toilets
Pizzas good. Soft or hot drinks available
We will certainly return when we can. Is it the Mill without restrictions

Highly recommend

First visited the site as a child at school and was always charmed by the Tolkien connection. Delighted by the opening of the bake shop and have regularly bought my bread there this year as it's delicious! Friendly staff. Worth supporting.

Sarehole Mill have responded flexibly to current restrictions by setting up a wonderful community shop! They have kept me supplied with strong flour throughout lockdown. Plus the most incredible mince pies I have every had the pleasure of eating. Great bread baked on site, for those that don’t bake their own, delicious pizza, and fabulous sausage rolls. Oh, and the gingerbread trees are remarkably good too.
I can’t rate them highly enough.
The staff are always pleasant and helpful. Well worth a visit.

I went on a trip there in school and it was boring , I didn’t really get to do any thing fun and at lunch time, we had to sit on the uncomfortable floor in a crowded room which had a bad stench

Excellent attraction and the staff in the little shop attached are superb. Need to support local places like this especially in these uncertain times. Coffee was excellent by the way!
