Both me & my Fiance have always loved canals & the boats that float on them. It was always a dream to go on a narrow/canal boat & today that dream came true. The staff on board were lovely & we really enjoyed the experience. If you get the chance definitely take the 1 hour tour. Thank you :0)

So bad it's almost funny. Okay, they can't do anything about the bad weather (drizzling), but they could have turned on the heating to prevent misting up windows. At least, I thought so, until I realized in what a terrible state the boat was. The rain leaked on us through the roof and moss grows on the window frames. The seats were dirty, broken and cramped. The tour with only English-language audio tape takes an hour and costs £ 8. Tickets can be purchased on the boat. The first and last 3 minutes, around the boarding point, were the "best". The rest of the tour, if you could see something through the fogged windows, consisted of watching crumbling quay walls, whether or not with graffiti (not of the artistic kind), weeds and rusty company sheds. No interesting buildings or other landmarks at all. Everyone in the boat, regardless of nationality, agreed that this is really a waste of time and money. Absolutely not recommended.

A quite nice quiet area in the day, but it was October. Lots of places to eat, and just in front of Symphony hall/convention centre. Took a canal trip, unfortunately the main boat was in dry dock, so the waterbus was covering meaning no commentary, but a nice trip nonetheless, and the pilot was good enough to go out with just me on the boat, for which I was grateful as I would have not had another chance.

Today we decided to take the boat trip from Sherborne Wharf in Brindley place Birmingham. The area around the wharf is quite attractive with plenty of places to eat and drink. Unfortunately the luxury boat had broken down so we had to travel on the water bus.The pilot did his best in the rain but it would have been nice to have more of a commentary. Trip takes just over an hour. Good value for money.
