The UK's third smallest Cathedral, but truly stunning and the only green space within the city.

Designed in a fine English Baroque style, this elegant Cathedral is decorated with four stained glass windows by Pre-Raphaelite artist, Edward Burne-Jones. Daily services and prayer, Cathedral shop open most days.

Unique cathedral with amazing stained glass

This is a modest size with an interesting history. The principal features are the unusual stained glass windows which date to the arts and crafts movement.

The baroque architecture adds to the charm of this cathedral. Yes it's smaller than expected , but the setting, The stained glass windows and the welcome on entering , makes this space feel special. Surrounded by Garden this is a little oasis of calm amongst the bustle.

Breath taking baroque architecture with the most exquisite stained glass. Large garden all round. Plenty of place to sit back and take in its beauty.

An unusually small cathedral in comparison to its counterparts elsewhere, the cathedral may be easily overlooked and mistaken for or generic church from afar. However, it is well worth a visit for its stained glass windows, and only 10 minutes walk away from the Birmingham New Street Station. Admission is free of charge, and allows visitors to warm and dry... More

St Philip's is a small (3rd smallest in the UK), baroque cathedral built as recently as the early 18th century. It's not overly imposing from the outside; and is fairly stark on the inside. Until, that is, you see the magnificent stained glass windows at east and west ends of the Cathedral---which justify a visit all on their own. Designed... More

On a cold day I received a warm welcome to this Cathedral. It is not massive like many other cathedrals but it is still beautiful inside and outside with an impressive organ. Free guide cards to help you learn about the history. A must see when in Birmingham.

Perfectly located in a beautiful city. A simple building, but welcoming and relaxing to sit and take a moment to stop the world. Musical recitals take place occasionally and all are welcome to sit and enjoy.

I visited here with friends from overseas and one of their comments is the fact the Cathedral is quite small. The main part of the building began as a church before Birmingham was given its City status. The far end of the Cathedral which contains the grand pillars and stained glass windows were a later addition after Birmingham became a... More

Listened to the band as we passed by whilst shopping. They were very good. It's a lovely Cathedral and stands out , really adds to the cityscape.
