Today it’s a upmarket mall that is among the best in Europe and Nirth America, I was amazed. Birmingham has changed for the better.Visited March 2024Travelled with familyWritten 28 March 2024
- EvaF2EvaLorrach, Germany5,147 contributionsShiny and roaringI am not a shopping fan so I didn´t spend too much time indoor but enjoyed walking around, watching the busy life and admiring shiny modern buildings and the tower of St. Martin´s church just next to them. The place is light, spacy and clean. It can be very busy in the rush hours but I never felt it overcrowded.Visited May 2024Travelled soloWritten 11 May 2024
- Nicola_W_0108United Kingdom859 contributionsDecent variety of shops, but the inside of the building is too warm!Have visited several times over the past few years. Decent selection of shops and places to get food & drink. It was a shame that the Debenhams store closed down. The toilets usually don’t seem clean enough. It can also feel very crowded at busy times, sometimes with queues to get onto the escalators if moving to a different floor level. Moreover, I always find the temperature far too warm in the Bullring - it would be ideal for the building to circulate some cool air, which would benefit shoppers as it’s currently too stuffy.Visited July 2024Travelled with familyWritten 24 July 2024
- SheenaKingston St Mary, United Kingdom2 contributionsCity Break BirminghamHotel (easyhotel) was a 3min walk from the station. It was budget but very clean and all the staff were really helpful & friendly. Long time since I've been to Birmingham & the 1st time I have taken my daughter, who is nearly 15. Stayed 3 days & nights and had an absolutely fab time. Birmingham has definitely changed and certainly for the better. Having originally moved to South West from the Midlands it made me a little sad to be coming home. Next trip already booked.Visited July 2024Travelled with familyWritten 31 July 2024

The bullring it's self is brilliant so many shops on loads of different floors let alone what's around it. Clothes toys designer shops food hair nails you name it its there what a place and very busy. It's nice clean inside a vibrant place it must be amazing at xmas that might my next time up here 🤔 You can spend the day in there if you have the money to spend. Will definitely call up again.Visited August 2024Travelled with familyWritten 4 August 2024
- Richard PLichfield, United Kingdom89 contributionsGoing down hill - lots of closed shopsBeen coming to the Bull Ring since it opened a good 20 years ago. I've seen it go from a destination - somewhere to go to, to what it is today. Today, many shops are closed. The ones that are open you don't feel safe in. Many shops have security at the door. When you're in the shop you feel as though someone may try pick pocketing you at any time. When I went on the weekend an escalator wasn't working. All the tv displays were off. The bigger anchor stores have been replaced, but they just aren't that great. Gone are the days of great shops like the Disney Store, Apple etc. Who needs a ton of shoe shops, a ton of fragrance shops. There's far too many juice bars and doughnut outlets. I remember when Selfridges was amazing. Latest tech, really interesting departments. Now all gone and nothing is special or unique. You can buy everything that's in Selfridges in other shops and much cheaper. Birmingham shopping as a whole is pretty tragic.Visited September 2024Travelled with familyWritten 9 September 2024

Took my god daughter here (although she was definitely in charge!)
Great to do some Christmas shopping In Person a city that has not been the victim of the ‘death of the high street’’ London is too much for me so the drive to Birmingham was a doddle.
To start with, it is incredibly busy but that’s to be expected, we did the park and ride into the city as we feared the centre would be a nightmare for parking. The parking is pretty expensive inside the bull ring so pleased we did that, also the queue of cars trying to get out of the shopping centre at 18:00 was frightening!
Now to the shops! I thought it was a fantastic Place, Christmas decorations were lovely and it all get very festive! My daughter made a beeline for selfridges, whilst i was allowed to shop in peace and get 90% of my shopping done! The food hall was impressive too- catch up with the daughter then back for round two! Could easily spend most of the day here- so nice to do a full days shopping again and not rely on ordering stuff online!
Doing a big Christmas shop again felt great, tiring but great fun having a Christmas rummage round the shops. Wish we had left more time for the Christmas markets nearby

As someone who lives out of the area (South Coast of England) I was always of the impression that the Bullring was a huge shopping centre, with a vast array of shops
HOW WRONG WAS I
Literally, do not recommend anyone make the trek here if you live out of area. Utter waste of time. The shopping centre is small with small shops but huge queues. The selection of shops was pretty basic too.
3hrs drive for the most disappointing shopping trip of my life!
Stick to Bridgewater or London
(Or even Southampton, least thats round the corner lol)

Went into Birmingham centre in the hope of finding wedding outfits .... very disappointed with the shops available.
No Debenhams or John Lewis now and the House of Fraser was like a rag market without any heating on and half the lights off. Selfridges has very limited high end high street brands, they seem to have gone very top end with over priced clothing.
The Bull ring has a good Next, Ted Baker, Zara & a couple of other shops but there was no Coast, Phase Eight and similar which are most peoples first stop shops for a wedding. We couldn't find one place that sold hats or fascinators. Not ideal to order these kind of items online.
It was very sad to see the demise of what should be a World class shopping area. People have no alternative but to shop online which isn't ideal in some circumstances such as trying to put a wedding outfit together.
Handful of really good restaurants towards the Temple Row area but everywhere else, particularly in Grand Central the majority are chain restaurants which are run down with dirty facilities.
The traffic getting into the centre was really bad but that can be put down to HS2 so hopefully that will improve.
The City Council should do everything it can to maintain the presence of the large Dept stores.
On another note, the number of homeless people wandering about is seriously concerning and quite upsetting to see in modern day Birmingham!

Whilst visiting the area we travelled into Birmingham City (using the park and ride glad we did) as the new tram extension and HS2 were under construction causing road closures, etc. Very bustling City, lots of eateries, shopping arcades and shops. Something for everyone. Well worth a visit. Many new buildings under construction to upgrade the City's profile.

So I'm a resident of Birmingham, and I have to get trains more or less every day of the week.
There is this particular part of Brum that provides an elevator and a set of stairs up to allow me passage from the fish market up to the station and an entrance to the bullring.
Often other tourists/drunks/homeless/people by the weekend have dropped rubbish or pissed all up this walkway and it is horrible to walk through when it's like this.
Naturally when it's been cleaned it's so much more pleasant to walk through, and I really appreciate the effort of the cleaners who make it so much nicer.
I noticed one lad repeatedly there cleaning it, Sundays or Mondays, and his name was Franklin. He thanked me when I told him I appreciated his cleaning and told me that if I wrote a review then it may potentially help him out in some way (our meeting was brief so I didn't really get the details of how). In short, I just hope this helps out in some way, Franklin is a gem and I really am thankful that he is around to restore Birmingham walkways after the weekend madness they endure.

As Bullring is a big part of the city centre of Birmingham, you would not have seen Birmingham if you have not seen Bullring. I was a little surprised reading the negative comments here but there are mostly true. Still, as a first time visitor to Bullring, I find it a pleasant and interesting place. It is anchored by the St Martin Church at the bottom. The shopping centres are ok but I did not buy anything. I find the markets (both outdoor and indoor) below very interesting. Had a meal in one of the many restaurants there.

Called into the Bullring there where plenty of shops to suite everybody's taste. Called into O'Donnell's shop and tried a couple of the Moonshine's that were on sale.
With it being the Bank Holiday weekend there were performances in the centre and around the centre

Been coming to the Bull Ring since it opened a good 20 years ago.
Birmingham shopping as a whole is pretty tragic.

Britannia, Birmingham Grand Central Car Park - be aware Most evening there are gangs of youths loitering around of an evening, but last night must be the worst. They had set off all the fire extinguishers in the lifts, stairwell, and lift lobbies. One lift was broken the second lift me and other passengers got in 3 of the gang was in the lift but as I was with my husband and other passengers felt OK. However somehow the gang had managed to interrupt the lift and it stop a few times mid floors it was quite scary and like something out of a film. When we got to the 3rd floor we managed to get out. We walked the rest of the floor to 9. As they had set the fire extinguisher off you could see or breath properly. On the way out of the car park I spoke to two of the security guards to let them know what had happen, but I have no faith that anything was or would be done.

Bullring & Grand Central
Birmingham, United Kingdom
Hi, the Bull Ring Market is managed by Birmingham City Council and is located outside Bullring Shopping Centre.
Many stalls have now reopened and social distancing guidelines will apply throughout so please allow extra time for your visit.

How far is it from the train station to the shopping centre and is it an easy walk
Written 12 February 2020
Its just a couple of minutes walk - at Birmingham New Street go up to the 1st floor into their shopping area called Grand Central.
Here there is an indoor walkway that takes you over a road and into the Bull Ring.

Hi, prices for taxi services can vary but average fare is priced between £20-£30 on average from Birmingham International Airport.
Alternatively, trains operate directly from Birmingham International Train Station to Birmingham New Street Train Station which is situated directly below Grand Central. Price for single fare would be from £3.50 upwards.

Wheres cheap and good to park centrally? Going tomorrow

Where exactly is the entrance to the Grand Central Car Park - for cars arriving there to that specific car park (can't see destination fully on Google Maps I'm afraid)? Is it on Queens Drive? Does anyone know if this is accessible at the moment (October 2019) in light of all the roadworks going on in Birmingham? Thank you!

Is this close to where the german Christmas market is held
Written 2 October 2019
The German Market takes place along New Street and in Victoria Square. The Bulk Ring complex is at one end of New Street, and Victoria Square at the other end of New Street. It’s not a long walk between the two locations.

I want to know if there is a park and ride into Birmingham’s Bullring
Written 15 March 2019
You can park and get the train into Moor Street Station which is opposite the entrance to the Bull Ring from local stations such as Dorridge, Solihull,Olton and Acocks Green.
Also the line into New Street from Birmingham International has parking at each station.
It is quicker and often cheaper than city car parks.
Look up National Rail.
