Good show but absolute shambles during the interval
Ok so the show amazing however few words packed in like sardines comes to mind. So word of warning go for food before you get to your show and plan pre book somewhere because if you just turn up you don't stand a chance. We did the fatel mistake of just trying our luck this didn't work out at all. We really wanted to get food before we went into the arena no where on the outskirt of Birmingham to eat 😔 you would have to go in the city centre. So we had no choice but to go and eat in the arena boooo absolute rip off and queue extremely bad. Small box of chips £10. Anyway the interval wow it was horrendous packed to the rim I'm quite small so this felt very overwhelming as couldn't see anything at all no way out panicked me to be honest. No structure at all to the toliets worst I've ever experienced with going to an arena. First time I've had to queuto get out the toliets. Also you have to queue in a separate quue to get a beer. Also be warned take cash aswel because their internet goes down a lot.

    Exceptional staff!!!
I took my 76 year old mom to an Elton John concert and couldn’t have had a better experience. Felicia, an employee there, made sure we got a wheelchair and made it inside safely. If she hadn’t helped us I don’t think my mom would have made it inside. She also allowed us the time to by a t shirt before the show. Felicia arranged for a wheelchair to be ready after the show was over and took us to an awaiting taxi. Thank you to the good people of this town to make memorable experiences for us traveling!

    Visit to Birmingham arena
I love Birmingham arena, easy to get to. Parking really close. Didn't bother with the food and drink as really expensive. Saw Elton John and he was brilliant. They only bad bit was the really sticky floor. Please clean it properly as its no fun sticking to it for several hours. Apart from that good venue

Lots of friendly staff to help you find your seats
First time at this arena for the Peter Kay show. Was really impressed with the place. Doors open was 6.30pm on the ticket. We got there at 6.20 and you can get to the drinks/food stands so that was helpful. Hardly any crowds too. When doors opened there were lots of very friendly staff to help make sure you find your seats. As the crowds grew as we neared the start of the show, the high number of staff helped make sure it was all well managed. Crowds for the toilets in the interval were mental…long queues for the toilets but the staff were helping by guiding people to different toilets. I think if you are savvy enough to know where all the toilets are then that would help you during the interval. It was obviously busy leaving but again, we’ll managed. Seats weren’t massive but they were comfortable enough and although it quickly warmed up in the area, it was well air conditioned. Food/drink prices are high but that’s a given in a place like this. Would def look to book more tickets for events on at this place.

    Fabulous Venue
Really impressed with the venue and the helpfulness and friendliness of all of the security staff. Toilets spotless obviously massive queues during break for everything, to be expected with thousands of people and a Full House for a brilliant Peter Kay Show. Great Evening.

Great night. Expensive food and drink
Saw Shania twain here. The atmosphere is good. The food isn't the best on the 1st floor and costs an absolute fortune. The alcohol is ok. . Also is £7 a pint. For a tin of gin and tonic... over £9.. you can get these for under £2 in a supermarket. Seats are ok, plastic but comfy. Easy to get to your seat and helpful staff.

    Busted 👍
A great venue. Well organised and plenty of car parking.. Easy bag check and metal detectors, great food had a delicious pizza and wedges with a light seasoning! All staff seemed friendly. Had a great night.. Busted was fantastic! Not so sure about the warm up acts! Maybe no need to arrive until the main event. Overall recommended!

    JLS Concert 27.10.23
It had been many years since we visited the arena (last time was for Disney on Ice) about 18 years ago! I was slightly concerned having read some not so great reviews but I was very pleasantly surprised. We thought the venue was great and wouldn’t hesitate to come to a concert here again. We booked and paid for parking in the South Car Park online. We arrived about 3pm so we could go into Town and have something to eat and a quick look round the shops. Parking was nice and easy. We had great seats in the front row (AA) of the upper tier in block 2. All the staff we spoke to were polite and helpful. The show ran on time as we were out just after 10pm. We were back in our car and on our way home by 10.20pm, which was good as we had a 2 hour drive home. Can’t really comment about the food and drink as all we brought were 2 bottles of Pepsi Max from the vending machine.

Seats tiny uncomfortable and back crunching. Guys trying to organise the queues had stinking attitudes and total jobsworth drinks scandalous prices.

We have been to the Utilita Arena loads of times including the Strictly Come Dancing tour. We went to Take That in concert last week and Michael McIntyre a few days ago. The staff have always been so welcoming. We use the Access entrance and the staff quickly move us through and are understanding about our disabilities. We then used the Sky VIP lounge & bar when we went to see Michael. The people at Sky were lovely and included a free pampering session. The queues for the toilets are very long and so are the queues for food & drink. The shows have always been a blast! When exciting the arena, again the staff have always been supportive. They let us wait in our seats to clear the crowd and then we stand by the entrance to avoid the crushes outside the arena.

Was really looking forward to seeing Michael Mcintyre as have seen him before and found him hilarious. However, our evening was disappointing due to the poor seating of the arena. The seats are quite small with virtually no space between you and your neighbour and no space in front of you which meant every time someone wanted out of the row everyone had to stand up (we had one chap get up 3 times!) and when standing it feels quite precarious due to the lack of space in front of you. I won’t be going back to that venue.

Went to see Micheal Mccintyre here (who wasn't any good bwt).
The venue is dull and uninving, food and drink prices are nothing short of daylight robbery and the seating is poor.

We booked the show lounge be aware if you book seats 13,14 b as you will need to negotiate a wall to see the screen /act the price of the drinks is absolutely shocking 11£ for a glass of pinot and 31£ for a bottle. bottled beer only and £ 7:50 a bottle and 15£ to park the car . very sad to say I wouldn’t bother coming back would rather travel to see the act I was interested in.

Nickelback absolutely great concert but Arena owners are ripping everyone off, from car parking to food and drink prices. Be aware before booking several cheaper car parks have closed nearby so only alternative is the arena or long walks... minimum £9 to park your car... mediocre food, burger n chips etc, and expensive drinks also are now a real rip off, 125mm Proseco £9.50, 250mm wine £10.10, Pint of beer £7.50... 500mm water £2.95.. you are captive audience so pay or go hungry/thirsty...!

Just been to see the Nickelback concert. We paid a lot extra for the premier lounge which was located right at the top. The lounge itself was lovely and the staff great but the location meant the bands sound was terrible. After 4 numbers we complained and left relocating to the standing area. Apparantly we were the fifth party to do so. A total waste of money

My family and I travelled from Glasgow to Birmingham to see Take That ' This Life Tour, the Utilita arena was amazing. We didn't have to queue, the security and all the staff were so friendly and very helpful, yes the food and drink was expensive, but we already ate in a little restaurant nearby, so we purchased a bottle of water each from the vending machines. I bought a programme, a T-Shirt and a tote bag from the merchandise stalls, which were plentiful..We were led to our super comfy floor seats which were booked way in advance, what a view we had. The B stage was amazing, we were front row watching Take That so close up. The arena did have air conditioning, although as the night got underway it did get warm, but that's because everyone was having a good time. It was an absolutely amazing and unforgettable experience and I would definitely recommend the Utilita in Birmingham to anyone wanting a really wonderful concert experience, the sound and the lights were fantastic...it was seamless, even down to leaving the arena when the concert finished, we were outside in about five minutes.

Absolutely disgusted by this venues' accessibility criteria.
I contacted the venue ahead of booking tickets for The Script tomorrow to find out how to get accessible tickets for my husband who has advanced cancer. I was told they only accept an Access Card as proof of a disability. As we are in the process of applying for PIP etc I can't order one of these cards yet as i have no proof that he is dying FFS. I explained that he has a card from the hospital explaining his diagnosis, which is accepted in most places, but was told this is invalid. They offered to hold 2 tickets for a fortnight until our PIP is sorted out but after that we'd have to take pot luck and try to book ordinary tickets.
At the opposite end of the scale, we attended the Take That concert at the AO in Manchester recently, who couldn't do enough to help us, upgrading our tickets and taking my word and my husband's appearance at face value.

Whilst the venue itself is adequate as previous reviews have stated there isn't much leg room in the seats - if you're over 5ft 8in you're going to have your knees on the seat in front but my main gripe is the free for all on exit where there is no assistance from the so called 'staff' who are outside when you exit and you 'might' get directed to the main road where all the taxis lay up waiting for fares. Do not approach the arena staff for assistance at this point to enquire if the taxis are all booked or if there's a taxi rank nearby as that's the taxis drivers job to advise you and not theirs - theirs is chatting to their mate as everyone who goes to the arena is local to Birmingham and obviously knows the situation outside the venue as some drivers aren't booked (but may want cash - bit of a shock nowadays). So if you can book an Uber or something and know where it will be when you're departing or it's a walk back into the City to try and find a lift which is a really joyous time. So I have to go with a pretty miserable experience for the venue even though the concert was great.
