Wonderful place to visit. Loved seeing the intricate work. Make sure you book your visit the day before you go, as you can only go on a guided tour.

Thanks for your review - very glad you appreciated seeing the intricacies of making coffin ornaments. Whilst we do accept walk-in visitors where there is space, booking is always a good idea as there are only 15 places on each tour.

Really interesting snippet of Birmingham's history. There's a video accompanied by a glass of fizz before being taken on the tour. Knowledgeable and informative guide. Some quirky gifts in the shop.

Fascinating place, well recommended, interesting angles on social history .... It's a Victorian industrial building, with steep staircases, but a (modern) lift has been added ..!

Thanks for your review - especially mentioning the lift. We know a lot of visitors worry about that when visiting old buildings, so we are very glad to be fully accessible.

Hi, the admission charge is £6.60 and the visit is a guided tour only which should be pre booked, there isn't much of a shop .
