I went to the Thinktank on a University trip; so therefore didn't have to pay. I had an enjoyable experience - lots of things to look at, and quite interactive.

Being used to free museums in London, I was a bit taken aback by the price - however that was the only fault I had with Thinktank. A very friendly older gentleman welcomed me and gave me a quick rundown of what was in the museum, including his own personal recommendations. I also took in the Planetarium, which I would... More

I am one of those people who refused to visit Thinktank after they removed the items from the (free) Science Museum in Birmingham about 20 years ago to Thinktank, who then started charging to see those same items. However, I longed to see some of those items again and was on the verge of relenting, when just at the right... More

As a family we were looking forward to a nice afternoon out, how wrong could we be? Virtually none of the interactive props and models work this is the same in very area on every floor. Some floors are so badly lighted dye to blown or missing bulbs you cannot see very well. The cafe is squalid mess everywhere quite... More

Great place for kids and keeps them busy. Very pricey especially for adults. Its not the greatest lay out just clusters of stuff everywhere feels a little hectic at times. There where some fascinating things to look at.

Even with discouted vouchers I still found this a little pricey. Particulary compared with other museums with a free entry!Saying that, kept our group entertained and the staff were friendly and knowledgable. Plenty of parking behind although not the easiest to find. Busy cafe but we managed to find a seat for lunch. Needed more staff to keep the tables... More

Our 6 year old loves visiting. There is so much fun stuff for the little kids and much to learn for the older kids. The only thing that let's this place down is when certain things are not working.

As a little boy I used to walk from our house up to the science museum in Newhall street most Saturdays to enjoy the exhibits. What a treat to see a lot of them such as the train, tram, steam engines etc all restored to their best. The new life sciences area was great for my grandchildren and particularly the... More

What a great day out. Thoroughly enjoyable with the kids with enough to keep all ages occupied. Will take a good few hours to get round. The outside experiment area was our favourite. Shortish walk from the train station to save on those pennies if visiting from out of town.
