We took my 6 year old yesterday. We had a good look around, and enjoyed looking at everything but were disappointed that hardly any of the interactive stations worked and those that did, were battered. What a shame. The best bit was the Science Garden. We spent the majority of the time in there.

We visited there with our 9 and 11 year old daughters. They loved the whole experience. The hands on techniques were really appreciated. Nice cafes. Art workshops were going on which my girls really enjoyed. A day very well spent.

The content of the museum is generally good, however it is disappointing that so many exhibits are worn out or just broken. Some of the exhibits were very good. The planetarium show was about the sun, and to be honest could have been shown on a flat screen! Could be so much better with some tlc.

After 3pm on weekdays it's only £3 to go in. Great value. Our toddler loved it - loads of interactive activities. Parking over the road. We'll certainly return.

The place is good, more aimed towards children than the museums I remember as a child. They have the old steam train there which was in a different museum in Birmingham but it doesn't move anymore. There are lots of activities for kids, but not to much information on each exhibit. Some of the activities weren't working which is a... More

How do I get there? Where do I park? Where is the entrance? Where are the toilets? Where can I eat? When you have solved these challenges you can enjoy the engaging, enjoyable, educational, all age exhibits on almost every aspect of life. Our show at the Planetarium was boring and would not satisfy any age (compare it with Planetarium... More

We visited Thinktank on Saturday afternoon for a few hours with our niece and nephew. Overall we were disappointed by the quality and upkeep of some of the interactive elements of the museum. A lot were damaged or not working and some of the push buttons and touch screens were very dirty! The most popular part of the museum is... More

The old Science Museum that was in Newhall Street was free to get into. It was a magnificent place to go and learn about Birmingham's heritage, my Grandfather used to take me there frequently. Now we have to pay to see the exhibits that have been moved from the Science Museum to the Think Tank. Exhibits are just as good,... More

Many exhibitions but you really need to guide them so they know what their looking at The cinema was the highlight don't forget to check it out - kids interested in engineering will love the ground floor exhibits.

We took our children 6 and 8 for 4 hours and they had a lovely time. Not cheap, but probably a fair price. Helpful staff and lots of interactive stuff for the kids to do....they really enjoyed the Planetarium too...
