Delivered a steak salad missing half the ingredients. Chased them up with a rude spotty teenager, they then returned the salad with a few bits of avacado thrown on top. They then proceeded to blatantly stand and talk about me behind the bar. This place is run by children and would benefit from some kind of management structure. Yes it's... More

Went to the soak for a day of watching rugby with friends ,we all use to frequent a few years ago,one couple had their kids present for the first part of the day, kids and parents all ate and were really impressed, more friends turned up and later I had their biggest plate of fish and chips solely of the presence of... Went here on a Friday lunch, there were two staff working one of whom answered the phone whilst taking our order - how rude! Had to wait 40 mins for our food which had clearly been sat somewhere for a while as came straight out when we chased it and the baguette was rock hard! Shame as is nice and... More

The urinals have been leaking for atleast 6 months. Plumbers do exist but instead there is a bucket under every urinal, quite shocking. Even the goose next door have non leaking urinals ffs

Awful, waited 45 mins for them to warm up some soup and add two pieces of bread. Came with the wrong soup originally, waited another 15/20mins after that. When it came, bread half soggy, half toasted. Obviously been left under the grill for god knows how long. Won't be coming again, not great service either...

Dan: my experience of the soak has not been great to say the least, I received my burger and it looked what I can only describe as the sack of a victim of the Vietnam war after a napalm attack. My friend had some chicken that was as dehydrated as young m'luvu after walking 26 miles to a well in... More

The S'oak's recent refurbishment, in my opinion, makes you feel like your sat in an ikea showroom rather than a local pub. To be fair, however, there are loads of screens and one of which is the biggest, clearest screen i've ever seen in any pub. The typical crowd is weird in an unfriendly way. Either a group of rugby... Does what it says on the tin - great place just to relax and have a drink/reasonably priced meal with friends. It's had a refurb fairly recently and the staff are always welcoming and friendly. The food service was a bit slow, but we were there at a busy time so perhaps I'm being a little harsh. It always tastes... More

Visited with my student daughter and stepdad who is quite a fussy eater. Good was lovely. Chicken and mushroom pie was amazing! All hot and tasty. Getting cutlery and condiments wasn't a big deal. Buckets supplied to carry what you want. Service was great. No TV sound on. Decor great. Would definitely return.
