This was a first visit for me in conjunction with another event. I was pleasantly surprised and delighted by the aircraft on display including older jets as the Meteor, Venom, Vampire, Canberra others are the famous Shackleton which I was lucky enough to see taxying along with DH Dove, Avro Anson, DC3, JP, Dragon Rapide and the mighty Nimrod. For... More

This was a special occasion to say goodbye to the last and only flying Vulcan for members of the club. There was a display of a Meteor 7 and a Venom. We saw them start up and,not unusual for the Venom, she had a "wet start" which meant a sheet of flame out of the jet pipe. They gave a... More

We arrived late, but were welcomed in to take a look around the aircraft outside. Most places would have said sorry, we're closed, but they let us in which was fantastic.Star attraction in my opinion is the Nimrod, with the Shackleton being a close second. I took a look through the windows of their cafe/shop area, it appeared very clean... More

I visited for the 4 July Bagington Air Pageant. This was a fantastic tribute to vintage aviation and a very refreshing change from the tone of most current air shows - it was great fun without the hype and the crowds. In addition to the static aircraft we were treated to a display including two Meteors, a Spitfire flypast, a... More

Airbase has a wide range of aircraft on display. It is good to see so many of these types having been restored to flying condition, or in the process of getting back to the air. We visited on a day when an airshow was being held, and there really was plenty to see and do. The Shackleton did an engine... More

I'm just back from a very enjoyable time at the airbase - it is great to see the passion people have for these old aircraft ... The planes outside look a bit tired but in side the hanger ... When you see the time & effort being put in to look after these aircraft !!! The airbase open day was... More

I visited the museum in October 2014 which was during the period of time when Airbase was primarily based in Newquay and this was more of a maintenaince base. But that made the visit all the more worthwhile as seeing real living aircraft under work is very interesting. The museum can be a little tricky to find as you effectively... More

This is an absolutely amazing "living" aircraft museum. The museum based on the old Coventry airport site is a must for all people with a passion for classic aircraft. The museum staff are friendly and informative and the ticket price includes entry to all the aircraft. My partner and I were delighted at the amount of freedom we had to... More
