Didn't visit the new Cathedral (perhaps next time) but the ruins of the old Cathedral, with the historical background available to read, made for a moving visit on a quiet sunny morning.

The Cathedral sits alongside the one destroyed in WW2 in the Blitz. A stark reminder of the destruction and pain of war, with the power of faith and reconciliation wining through. The architecture is powerful in its simple austerity. If you can, combine a visit...More

Everyone should visit this cathedral to see the devastation that was inflicted on Coventry in the blitz . It is opposite the new cathedral which is a stark contrast to the ruins so you can visit both together. The old cathedral has a spire which...More

Thank you for your comments on the ruins of the old cathedral. The new cathedral was designed to integrate and form one place of peace and reconciliation. The views from the tower are just great for that "Kodak" moment

We spent a wonderful time here showing our London friends local history. On a dull, drizzly day the Cathedral was brought to life by a couple having their wedding photographs taken.

Depending on ones mood this can a somber place, or when the bride and groom marry at the holy trinity and pose for their wedding photos within the walls a happy place. Amazing there are still some stained glass within the skeleton windows.
