It has been my dream to fly in a small aircraft and a birthday gift allowed me to do so at Ultimate High. It was one of the most amazing and enjoyable experiences of my life and I could not recommend them any higher. Everything was centred around our personal enjoyment of the day and so what we actually did was completely up to us & what we found comfortable doing when in the air. I flew with Neil who had such a calm manner which instantly instilled complete confidence in him (not surprising given he has flown fast jets!!) I felt no fear or nerves and so Neil allowed me to perform some acrobatics myself & the buzz I got was totally unique. Everyone involved at UH are so professional and their expertise is without question, given what these guys have done in the past. But to repeat - it is all focussed on enjoyment and there is no pressure or judgement - this place is unique so if you're thinking about it - just do it and do it with Ultimate High!!
Thanks to everyone at UH. Paul Winser

Hey Paul, thanks for your review and it's great to hear that you had such a fabulous flight with Neil, one of our former Harrier pilot Flying Instructors.
And you're absolutely spot on in what you say - every single flight is tailored to the guest to ensure that he or she gets the maximum possible enjoyment from their flight with us!

Booked for me by my children as a birthday present. I took the Fly with a Fighter Pilot experience (more extreme versions are available) but having never taken controls of a plane before, this seemed the right place to start. The briefing was brief but covered all of the necessary points. My pilot was a great guy called James and we started gently but it soon ramped up to plenty of upside down and sideways action. I was enjoying myself so much that, at one point, I forgot to let go of the stick - a gentle but firm and obviously fair comment ensued.
I should mention the safety aspects which were faultless. From getting into the plane to clipping into the parachute and making sure the harness is comfortable but secure.
I would thoroughly recommend this solo experience. The only caveat I have is that I don’t suffer from any type of motion sickness so did all the loops and rolls available. If you suddenly felt uncomfortable, the guys would know and recommend a more gentle flight.
There are other experiences for couples and a more extreme one using the planes that the Red Bull pilots fly pulling the same g as an F1 car. Perhaps I should start saving!

Thanks very much for your kind words and James thoroughly enjoyed flying with you! Our Fly with a Fighter Pilot experience very much encourages our guests to fly the aeroplane as much as they like whilst ensuring complete safety at all times.
We look forward to flying with you on your next (more extreme?!?) flight!

I bought 2 seats for the Ultimate Top Gun experience in a charity auction. I paid more than the standard price and I still think it was superb value.
The set-up, the staff and the preparation is of an extremely high professional standard. The briefing was thorough. The T67 planes are in excellent condition and clearly very well maintained.
At no time did i ever feel unsafe or at risk.
Even when I was at the controls performing manoeuvres professional airline pilots would never do, i still felt safe.
Imagine taking the controls in a dog fight during the first flight you ever had in a light aircraft!
If you want to experience something different you must try this.
My only advice is you may want to take a motion sickness pill at least an hour before you get there - you really dont want to cut it short if you feel a bit queezy half way through!

If you're looking for adventure, adrenaline and new sensations, this is the right flight! You can feel the power of the Extra 300 as well as experiencing the strength of each G-force in each radical maneuver. I flew with the pilot instructor Mark - a Greener, and he was incredible. Mark's skill is indescribable. He really has complete control over the machine! I felt safe all the time and I could enjoy every second, angle, view and every G, of course! The pilot comunication was very good. He informs you in advance of the next maneuver to be performed and at what speed. This was without a doubt the best birthday present I have ever received! I highly recommend it to everyone who has adventurous DNA! And enjoy it because to fly in the positive and negative vertical direction or upside down are the simplest maneuver you will perform in this flight... Now I am an Utter Nutter 245! Yeahhh!!! Thank you Ultimate High for this unforgettable experience!

I went for the Top Gun experience with my brother. We had an absolutely fantastic time, the team was very experienced , professional and welcoming. Both of us came along with family members whom were made welcome and fortuanlty, it was a stunning weather day , so they could sit outside (there is also a cafe in the club house about 50 m away where you can purchase food and drink) .
The briefing was detailed and covered all the relevant safety points, and the flying itself was amazing, as we were allowed to fly lots of the manoeuvres ourselves, trying to keep behind the other aircraft.
We would both love to do this again !!!

Start from the beginning is best
In short if you can handle quite a high G force and love flying this is your number one stop in the UK.
Long version.
Easy to get into contact with and plan your visit.
Friendly staff all the way through very helpful.
The safety briefing is actually fun for once whilst being to the point (short and sweet)
The flying itself I would recommend that you have had some aerobatic experience before because whatever you have done 99% sure this is the next level up. I have done the 0g space flight, the utter nutter, insanity and Armageddon and loved every single one. I would describe how it feels but you can’t put it into words really.

Thanks very much for your review, mush appreciated!
As a veteran of the Space Flight profile, Utter Nutter, Insanity and Armageddon (our invitation only, most extreme experience on the planet!), you are indeed highly qualified to describe us as the 'number one stop in the UK'!

I had my second flight with Ultimate High on the 18th September. Both were with Mike 'Greeners' Greenfield. What an amazing pilot with skills way beyond my comprehension and has given me a great perspective on exactly what Pilots go through during a stunt routine.
Utter Nutter Completed 2019
Insanity (invited) Completed 2020
Armageddon 2021? Hmmm
Thanks guys, keep up the amazing flights for us mere mortals to enjoy!
Chris.

HUGE congratulations on being one of only a handful of people to come back and fly our INSANITY challenge! You did really well and we're delighted that you enjoyed your flight!
Will you be only the third person ever to fly ARMAGEDDON?!?!!?

Well being a plane enthusiast and loving adrenalin fuelled activities this seemed like a perfect match. I have attended air shows since a child and when l researched to find l could actually take part in some of the craziness l witness at airshows l was like sign me up.
On arriving to Ultimate High l was welcomed by Mags, (Mags Cunningham), who was also the pilot that did our initial introduction, albeit with a smirk on her face as she explained what we had coming our way lol. Very good briefing explained everything thoroughly.
Then the pilot taking us up came out after letting my sisters pick my call sign, "girls blouse", not exactly Viper that l wanted but was a good choice.
Pilot Neil Jones AKA Jonesey, sat us down to give us a briefing on what was going to take place. Had a great way of calming everyone but at the same time making everyone excited. I found out Neil was an ex Harrier pilot which was my childhood plane crush.
Time had come to take on the challenge. Well from start to finish everyone was professional and made you feel very welcome.
The UTTER NUTTER CHALLENGE, well what can l say it was out of this world. Seriously unlike anything l have done or experienced before. It was full on. Difference in G force from reaching a positive 7 Gs to minus 3 Gs, to feeling like you are in a washing machine to the disbelief a plane can perform these manoeuvres.
I'm afraid it is like skydiving in the sense that you really do have to experience it to understand what it's like
Many Thanks to all the team and Jonesey for the ride of a lifetime
Picture attached is me normal then me at 7 Gs lol
Go for it you wont regret it

Hi Lee, many thanks for your excellent review!
As you say, you really do have to experience it to understand what it's like - but you have done a pretty good job of sharing it!
And well done for managing +7G to -3G - outstanding work fella!
Hopefully we'll see you for the next step up - the 'By invitation only' INSANITY!

We originally booked a flying lesson for my 16 year old son as it's his dream to one day become a pilot. We came across Ultimate High online, the reviews looked great and it didn't disappoint one bit! We felt very welcomed and well looked after from the minute we stepped through Ultimate High's doors. Although my 11 year old son wasn't flying, he was very much included in the afternoon. He was able to get into a flying suit and sat in one of the planes, he was in his element! Mark, our Pilot made us feel completely at ease and was very informative, such a lovely guy! My son now has even more passion to follow his dreams of becoming a pilot and describes his flying experience as "truly unforgettable!"
We can't thank Richard and Mark enough for such a great experience!

Your son did really well and we wish him the very best with his hope of becoming a pilot - obviously one of the most fun careers it's possible to have! And the beaming smile on his brother's face when we got him kitted out in a 'support role' was just fantastic to see!
Obviously modesty prevents me from your comments about the pilot being 'such a lovely guy'...but we're just delighted that it was a great experience!

Flew the Top Gun Experience with Ultimate High and what an awesome experience it was. I love flying and the things we did with the aeroplane were awesome; barrel roles, loops, formation flying and dog fighting with another aeroplane. My pilot Neil was brilliant and explained everything in great detail on how to carry out manoeuvres safely and made it fun. Jo and her team on the ground were brilliant; starting with the briefing, made you feel totally relaxed and making the whole experience fantastic but especially my pilot Neil, could not have ask for a better pilot and tutor. For anybody who loves flying I would highly recommends his experience. I plan to do it again in 2021.

Thanks for your review Norman and we're very happy that you enjoyed flying with Neil - who is indeed a top bloke! He used to be in the Royal Navy but you can't have everything!
We look forward to seeing you back at Goodwood in 2021!
