Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We turned up on a Sunday without booking, basically last minute based on the weather being decent, which it was.
We met the tour guide by the bell tower, she was funny, well knowledged and ensured
The tour was interesting and moved at a good pace
We were allowed to ask questions and felt that the guide was friendly and open to interaction.
The tour was definitely worth the cost and recommend it to anyone who fancies learning more about Chichester

Booking a guided walk with the company was painless. My online enquiry was answered within a day and a guide made available for our weekday, unscheduled Walls Walk at a very reasonable price. Our guide contacted me directly and was waiting for us as arranged on the day.
Shelagh took us on a relaxed ramble along, and off, the Walls, pausing frequently to point out special views of the city along with major and minor information from Chichester’s long history.
We really appreciated her relaxed approach, giving us just the right amount of information and bringing the tour to a close just where it suited us.
Highly recommend!

We had an excellent tour this morning. Our blue badge guide was Craig, who also happens to be the current mayor of the city. He took us around the backstreet quarters and gave us a new perspective on how the city evolved. Craig’s passion for the city’s history was infectious and his anecdotes memorable, lots of new information for us to pass on to our grandchildren! You can just turn up at the foot of the bell tower on a Sunday morning at 11.30, no need to book. Would highly recommend.

On a drizzly Sunday in Chichester our highly knowledgeable guide, Craig, brought the history of the city to life with humour and fascinating facts. We were all engrossed and very well informed by the time we reluctantly finished the tour. The Pieds Poudre court was a highlight with its tiny door tucked under the Canon Gate where justice was summarily carried out for disputes arising on Market days. Craig also happens to be the current Mayor of Chichester so we felt very honoured to be able to discover the city in his presence. Shame he wasn't wearing his chain of office!

We met Peter and he was personable and passionate about the history of Chichester. We began our tour at the bell tower, and he proceeded to share stories about the construction of the Cathedral, the bell tower, Saint Richard and many fascinating details about the architecture.

My wife and I were very impressed with his historical and architectural knowledge as he knew so many details about dates, building materials and the influences of fire, weather and war on the structures.

We were having such a great time that we ended up going longer than planned, but we thoroughly enjoyed the tour and were sad to see it end. Peter was a tremendous tour guide, and we loved the tour. If you love history, architecture and stories, we are certain you will love this tour.

We had a very interesting City Highlights walk on Sunday morning. As a couple who have been visiting Chichester for many years we still got to see some places we'd never visited and learned lots of new detail about the City.

Definitely recommended.

We loved our tour with Craig this morning. I think he is possibly the smartest man I have ever met! He's got a totally unique perspective on Chichester, deeply involved in civic life, and has such passion for the history.
The tour was fascinating, wending our way through the Cathedral Quarter, and through different areas in the streets of the City. We learned so much about history and architecture - truly eye opening.
Really recommend for both locals and tourists alike!

A group pf 20 of us had a tour of the Chichester City on Saturday 23rd Of October 2021. The Tour Guides were excellent with an in depth knowledge of the attractions within the City. A very good balance of history, culture, small but interesting and important details of the buildings, was put together with good humour and a gentle walk.
I would recommend this Tour to anyone visiting the area, even if you are not a big history fan. Thank you Craig and Hilly.
