A great experience in itself but I think vital to do a few of these before the real thing which my Wife is very kindly buying me in the New Year. I have flown another Spitfire Simulator but this is way superior. The Instructor (Nigel) was excellent and as we had a few minutes took us into the Hangar to look over the MkIX and the 'Silver' Spitfire. Certainly going to book another couple of Simulator sessions for January & February.…

I booked a double slot (approx 60 mins) and it was worth every penny. To be clear, I am a qualified pilot but had not flown an aircraft of this type before. I was sent a briefing pack which allowed me to prepare for the session and get the most from it. Becoming qualified to fly a Spitfire on your own is something very few people get to do, but this was a more affordable way of making a childhood dream come true. Nigel was my instructor and was an excellent host despite the COVID-19 restrictions. He ascertained my background and tailored the session to achieve my aims. An hour seems like a long time but it passed in a flash and I would recommend the extra expenditure to get the most of a wonderful experience!…

I had a flight in the spitfire at Solent airport and the whole experience from booking to finish was totally worth the money you pay . Simon at Solent airport is a credit to the spitfire experience and Andy who flew the plane was just as nice .I’m still on a high even two days afterwards and this will live with me for a long time I can’t thank them enough.…

Excellent experience after briefing from our instructor Nigel, climbed into the cockpit and took to the skies over the Solent, excellent clear concise instructions made the experience exceptional, even managed to land. Would recommend to anyone with a love of spitfires from non flyer (like myself) to experienced pilot.…
