We fell upon this building by chance as its a Waterstones and we had a lovely coffee and cake and bought a book. Beautiful architecture and a member of staff told us the history of the building.

The Wool Exchange is always a delight to see and although it is no longer in use for its original purpose it is good to know that this beautiful is being used for a cultural, pleasant purpose in the form of Waterstones Bookshop.

Was passing today - after being told "erroneously" that Waterstones had closed. Could not believe that the last place of culture in an original Victorian bastion to the wealth of not only Bradford but the UK and overall British Empire had closed - I visited...More

Fabulous building, now a Waterstones including a Starbucks. Great place for a coffee stop. Look out for the 'Made In Bradford' shop across the road too, for really good unique gifts.

The combination of Waterstones and Starbucks is good because it creates a lovely bustling atmosphere inside the building without it ever losing the feeling of calmness.
