About
City Park is Bradford's brilliant multi-award winning high-tech water feature, the largest of its kind in the UK. City Park has many moods. It can be a cool, tranquil and misty space, a huge, reflective watery mirror, a bubbling, squirting, popping and splashing fountain display, a brilliantly lit aqueous interactive laser artwork or a thunderous water spout, shooting over 30 metres into the air. The Park's computer plays 100 fountains, laser lights, mist and water effects like a maestro conducting a glorious watery symphony. Millions of different combinations of effects can be produced. City Park is a great place to relax, meet friends or family and enjoy a breath of fresh air. Take a break from shopping, entertain your children or just sit, unwind and soak up City Park's many moods. Relax and enjoy the tree-lined City Park with a cup of tea or coffee. Enjoy some alfresco dining in the surrounding cafes and restaurants next to elegant sculptures or savour a sandwich on one of the many park benches. Why not make a night of it? Join friends at City Park, watch the show, then head off to one of Bradford's many bars, restaurants and cafes. Let City Park fire your imagination. Snap some arty photographs, or shoot a video, pen a poem or short story. City Park is also a great place to try your hand at painting or sketching. Why not perform some street theatre or bring an instrument and play some music?

A cute landmark fountain in Bradford. The boundary of the pool has vertical sprays. Near the middle is a fountain that sprays water to form an arch you can walk though. Fun. It lights up at night, so it’s a pity I was only there during the day.

In full flow when we arrived it is certainly a striking and picturesque sight. As the largest city water feature in the UK it is a very popular attraction and destination.

Seeing it under ideal early summer sunshine was lovely. As was the sight of so many relaxing and enjoying it.

This area is completely pedestrianised and the fountains are fun and lit up at night. Very close to the Bradford City fire memorial

City Park is located in the centre of Bradford and is a large paved area. When I visited it was a wet day so people weren't in the mood to stop and admire the area but there are some really nice fountains and I imagine when the weather is hot they are a focal point for people wanting to cool off.

The fountains work in patterns and are quite relaxing.

A nice area to chill out when the weather is good.

Huge modern water feature that looks good against the backdrop of the City Hall. I only visited during the day. It is unfortunate that the area has a number of people with clear drink / drug problems who assemble there. I would not want to be there after dark !

Absolutely stunning when the water is there and the lights at night at are just both mesmerising and soothing. I’ve been taking my little boy since he was born and I am so glad I love close to somewhere this beautiful and it’s all free too! Even without the water or lights it is a beatific place to walk around by yourself or with family or with kids.

Was visiting the Media Museum across the road and planned to look at the mirror pool and fountains.

Basically, there were no fountains and about four small puddles so not much to see! Perhaps this attraction is seasonal? I visited in the daytime on a Sunday in early March.

When we stay I in the Midland hotel we always walk down to see the fountains usually evening when it looks lovely with the lights, this time we went in the afternoon it is still lovely with the very imposing town hall as a back drop. It was busy lots of people and couple of groups playing chess with the giant pieces, always Worth a walk round
