We visited the KWVR as part of a family trip between Christmas and New Year. The staff were all friendly however on the day we visited there was no buffet on the train (even though it was advertised) which meant the staff in the buffet on the stations were overworked! Overall a great day out and will return in the... More

Lovely day out with my wife, children and our Grandchildren who loved the train ride. A bit pricey but seeing their faces and excitement was well worth it. Train duration time was just enough too till I was able to be back and my local for food. This is our first train ride and I think next year at Christmas... More

Well those were the ages in our party anyway. We chose this destination since they were running steam trains in January. We were a party of 8 and were well looked after. The youngest kids were welcomed on the footplate to have a look around and have their photo taken. The staff were friendly and helpful, giving us some history... More

A confession - it's taken me 30 years to go to this, and I grew up about 8 miles from this gem of a railway. It made a fun day out with a 3 year old (who goes free, but importantly was given her own ticket) - we went from Keighley with a plan to go toe Oxenhope and back.... More

As we were staying at the old ticket office, holiday home on Kirkby Stephen railway station, we decided to break up our Christmas holiday with a trip on a steam train. We hopped on the normal train from Kirkby to Keighley, then onto the steam train for the 'mince pie special'. (27th Dec 16) The trains were all decorated as... More

Currently waiting in the ladies waiting room on the platform which is a bit of a mess to be frank, there are boxes chucking around, paint peeling off the wall and just generally a bit scruffy. To say it is a well visited railway and local tourist attraction you would hope that it would be kept in a slightly more... More

Thank you for taking the time to post a review. I'm glad that you enjoyed your day on our wonderful railway. I have recently been appointed as Station Master at Oakworth so it's great to find out what the public think of our station and I'm really pleased that Adam looked after you. The boxes you mentioned are the equipment... More

We took a trip from Oxenhope to Keighley and back with our cockapoo. The day was excellent all round. Spacious car park. Friendly and helpful volunteer staff. Clean toilets. Good buffet and shop. Our dog was made most welcome. We were able to take her on the train and in the engine shed. Water bowls were provided.
