Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Visited it today and compared it to other nearby arcades.
Plain, well maintained with plenty of independent shops, all units are let.
This is one of the classic Leeds arcades that gives the Leeds shopping experience a distinct character.

Nice arcade full of independent shops. Kapow is fab for consistent good coffee, seating and toilets here. Stand out barbershop - Thornton’s barbers, Gav is a fantastic barber, patient and listens to what you really want. Only stockist I know of Murdock London hair products, highly recommended! Village is a good clothing/skate store stocking Carharrt clothing, well worth a look!

An elegant Victorian Gothic arcade sloping downhill with lots of interesting little independent shops. At the top is the Robin Hood mechanical clock. On the hour it moves, with one of the lifesize characters clanging the bell.

This arcade used to be fabulous to visit - a real gem. Unfortunately, since a vaping shop has opened, the owners seem to take great pleasure in standing outside their shop engulfing families in vaping mist/smoke.

Unless you enjoy breathing in clouds of chemicals, I would now avoid this place.

Quite narrow and not particulary interesting but neither bad. There are some interesting shops but the best are elsewhere. I prefer the Victorian Arcades.

This arcade dates back to 1878, the decor is lovely and the clock is a must see. There are independent shops, some have changed since we came a few years back but is a lovely change from the usual high street shops. It is also a cut through and takes you from one shopping street to another.

A lovely example of late Victorian / Edwardian architecture from the very early 1900s nicely enclosed within a glass paned arched roof.
The Victorian Quarter is home to a number of speciality and boutique shops.

Thornton's Arcade beautiful arcade but not as it used to be. Many shops come and go with the To Let signs appearing constantly. Surely arcade like this should be kept for the independent business's with reduced over heads to keep arcade unique and special.

Beautiful arcade, with nice little cultural and historic features. A must in Leeds. Accessible from the high street, bang in the middle of city centre and close to Trinity Shopping Centre and the market.

Leeds is an excellent shopping centre, with lots of shopping arcades, this one has lots of lovely little shops which makes a change from walking around Department stores and large fashion stores
