This is a beautiful old theatre with a varied programme - we saw Opera North. Delightful architecture and beautiful old glass, felt like walking back in time to the music hall days! Lovely bar and efficient ladies selling ice cream and sweets with military proficiency.

Some of the seats may be cramped and the pillars may not be quite in the right places but then this is an old theatre that has been beautifully maintained. It has kept its charm, period feels and still provides an extensive range of theatre, opera and ballet. A visit is not complete without a drink in one of the... More

It is a beautiful theatre and despite being multi tiered is quite large. The shows are very varied. We came to an opera but we have also been to musical shows there. There are two bars and to avoid a rush in the interval I'd recommend ordering the interval drinks before the show. There are also very nice Yorkshire ice... More

I am a regular visitor of The Grand, going around ten times per year. There is always a good variety of shows, for instance so far this year I have been to a ballet and an opera, and they are always of a high quality. I have never had a bad experience at this theatre.

We have visited 3 times now - CATS, Chicago and The Commitments. Normally we manage to get seats in the stalls, however the last time for The Commitments we ended up in the upper circle, where we were kicked through the whole performance by those seated behind us. Due to the seating, those sat above have their feet at back... More

Myself and a group of work friends came to see the full monty at Christmas the building itself is stunning, only problem is the small bar people in our group were still waiting to be served as the bell went and they had been there nearly a hour, the ushers and other staff though were lovely

We went to see Chicago at this theatre. The show itself was as expected and a great performance however, the seats were so small my partner of just over 6ft especially had trouble with leg/foot room. We are both slim build and really struggled with these seats. We were at the very top so unsure if it is more spacious... More

Leeds Grand Theatre always provides a warm welcome with friendly and helpful staff. I recently visited to watch 'Beauty and the Beast' and on this occasion the staff were overstretched due to having staff members off ill but they still managed to remain helpful and friendly. The building itself is lovely in its original glory the only problem is the... More

My husband and I visited The Grand to see The Commitments which was excellent. The gluten free draught beer was lovely too.
