Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great place to walk round. Some of the trails go from the park into the next door, abandoned, golf course to give you great views across to Churwell and Morley. Most of the paths are well defined, two main tarmacked tracks and numerous soil paths. There are some BMX cycle ways running through that are well marked and to be avoided by pedestrians. The Lake is a good feature though the rose garden has been largely left to go to ruin which is a shame

Visited for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. It was clean, good sized play area, duck pond and a nice woodland walk. Cafe and toilets on site too which is a bonus during these covid restrictions. My daughter really enjoyed it and I'll definateley be going back.

Lots of beautiful woodlands to explore if you fancy a walk. There is also lots of grassy open space good for picnicking, some benches along the way, bike routes, play areas and a visitor centre. Along the way you can find amazing points of interest such as old pits, Rose gardens and railway tracks.
We were walking around for just over 2 hours and walked around 3.8 miles. However, you could easily walk more or less as there were loads of different we’ll trodden paths that you could turn off at to extend or reduce your walk.
The only reason we would give it 4* is because there were lots of people on bikes that weren’t very careful riding in areas where pedestrians walk. However, this was only really bad near the cycling area and once you get away from that part the rest of the park is relatively bike free. (Just try to avoid the bike routes!).
I would definitely go here again to enjoy exploring the woodlands again.

It's a lovely park. I even pick a flower there as sovenour. Great place to walk, but seem some review, Living in Middleton/Belle Isle, there some people make area bad but depend on times. But my time it was a nice place also there a nice garden. There also a old church near by but to me, going gravyyard is depressing.

Went to the Middleton Park with the dog and my wife.
We were enjoying the local water feature when 4 drunken boys came over to us and insulted my dog and then my wife. I was punched in the head around three times, and the ruffians threw my dog in to the pond. I had to give them money to stop them harassing us. Would never visit again.

We took the steam train from Middleton Steam railwasy station up into the woods and were met by volunteer guides who took us through wooded paths surrounded by clouds of bluebells! This was a very special visit for us! Once through the wood, there is a lovely cafe (very reasonable prices) for refreshments and we sat outside by the lake watching people fishing! Very nostalgic but well worth a visit for anyone with no connection to the area.

We travelled on the steam train up to the park and walked with a volunteer guide through the ancient woods, with carpets of bluebells on either side between the beautiful old trees. On arriving at the visitor centre we had the cheapest mug of tea ever - 50p each! Then we walked back a different way with the guide who was very informative. Lovely chap! Lovely woods! Lovely trip!

Much under rated park in Leeds being on the south (unfashionable) side of Leeds. The friends of Middleton Park and the council have done a great job of improving access roads and facilities. Great views over Leeds from the clearings and walks for all ages and capabilities. With the Middleton railway, the oldest commercial railway in the world, and great transport links it should be high on the list of parks to visit in Leeds.
