Tropical World at Roundhay Park is one of the most well-loved family attractions in Leeds and only three miles from the city centre. At Tropical World you can take a trek through the rainforest; stopping off briefly in the outback of Australia before a quick excursion through the desert, and all in the same morning!

It is home to some old friends that include rare birds, crocodiles, butterflies, bats, spiders, snakes and the meerkats - the cutest family in Leeds.

It re-opened in March 2015. This follows some stunning renovations that include the aquarium area transformed into a new Amazon themed zone where you can see new residents including piranhas and salamanders.

Four mature adults visited and had a great time in a first class attraction. You get what it says on the tin and we found it faultless. Very well laid out with clear labling, it was quite busy - half term - but always room to see things, and if things wer hiding there was always someone with sharper eyes... More

Took family for yet another visit. Although been before on many occasions it still gives wonder to the family regardless of how old they all are. Good afternoon out to make a change when you want something quick and inexpensive to do

Visited here during half term week. It's not the first time we've visited as we are Leeds residents. £18 was the cost for two adults and two children although concessions are available if you possess the right card or credentials. It's a great place for the kids to come close up to some animals they might not see elsewhere. There... More

We needed an attraction to suit all ages as our party was made up of three generations, great grandparents, grandparents and a couple of grandchildren aged 4 & 2. Fourth generation eg parents of said grandkids were having a well earned break. This place suited everyone perfectly. There is parking on the road suitable for disabled badge holders. We got... A good day out for young ones. Lots of animals for them to look at, they can walk around without getting lost and there's a cafe for tasty treats after. A nice outside area to and play park not too far away

I loved spending time with my younger cousins and to see the look on their faces when the butterfly landed on one of us. They love animals and to get to see them up close made their day. Good experience loved every minute of it there.

Fairly dated now and needs investment to keep up with other attractions. Staff don't seem that helpful either
