Had an amazing time at Locked in games. Went for my son’s 12th Birthday. As we had his little brother with us we decided to take on the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory room. My eldest flew out the traps figuring everything out until we reached the final room where it became a little more difficult and had even us scratching our heads. We managed to get out with 14 seconds to spare. The youngest even got involved solving some of the clues. An amazing experience which I would highly recommend for families with young children. Would definitely go back.

Had an amazing time doing The Hidden Book room at Locked In Games! Our host, Rosie, was fabulous and gave the best clues (not too easy or too obvious) and managed to not make us feel like total idiots even when we definitely were! It was a great time, lots of fun, lots of laugh!

Excellent staff, very friendly and explained everything as most of us had never done escape rooms before. Highly recommend and will definitely return.

Had an amazing time, great scares and atmosphere! The game master (Holly) timed everything so well and was super helpful for our first time in an escape room!

Me, my girlfriend and friends did the “chapel of unrest” room. It was a really great experience with a live actor that had everyone screaming. It had 3 separate group rooms and 2 singular rooms for the group to comunicate in. Aron was our live actor, he was great (pretty terrifying).

Different Christmas party! I attended Locked In Games as part of our Christmas Party. There was 20 of us in total and this was our first experience of doing something different than the standard drinks/meal. I was hesitant initially however it gave us a good start to the night. I’ve played other Live Escape games with my partner however this was my first experience with work. Locked In Games had a huge corporate room which was decorated to a high standard. They provided refreshments too and we all had a nice area to debrief and discuss our games. Thankfully we all escaped and we will definitely be booking again so we can try the other rooms and try beat each others timings. Great idea for a Christmas party and team building event! I wish you all the best for the New Year! See you in 2024!

Quirky date idea! My fiancé planned this for us after we decided to try something other than the usual meal and drinks. We bought one of them murder mystery packs from Amazon for £20 which was nowhere near as good as this! Locked in Games brought the experience to life. I cannot wait to try all of the other rooms. You definitely get the full experience and I felt as if our value

I visited Locked in Games with my husband and teenage son. This was our first experience of a live escape game. The host was warm and welcoming, they explained everything fully and were patient with our questions. I have throughly enjoyed myself today. The room was well thought out ( I cannot recommend Locked In Games enough! I will definitely be visiting their York sister branch.

Hi Damo,
2 of our rooms - the Kiss of Death and Nursery Nightmares are both creepy experiences! That being said, all of our rooms focus on puzzle solving primarily, so we wouldn't say that they are designed to be overly scary.

What the minimum age please, I have a 7 year old who loves escape games?

Hi Sue.
We've had players as young as 6 in our rooms, so you'd be welcome to bring your 7 year old with you. (Younger players are always really good at finding hidden clues!)
Our only stipulation is that any players under the age of 14 have an adult accompanying them in the room.

Yes it is. The games are designed for adults however at 16 years old it is challenging but accessible. We are on hand to help if they get stuck!

Is it still good fun if they're are just two people? Also as there is two, is it recommended to just do the one room or both?

Hi Sophie,
The recommended number of people is 3 to 5, however you can still play the games with only 2 people. It will just require the 2 people to use a lot more brain power as there's lot to get through in the hour! It's completely up to if you would like to play both games one after the other.

Hi there. You can have 7 people play at the same time providing you book both rooms. The maximum we can allow in one room is 6. You could split up in to two groups and compete against each other! Hope that helps.

Hi Jennifer, You can normally find on street parking on Millwright Street where we are located. Although it is pay and display, it is free on a Sunday! We look forward to seeing you on Sunday!
