Surinder and Safia made us feel so welcome and at home. The day flew by such was the balance between great conversation, banter, history, methods of cooking and the food/recipes/ingredients themselves. The day catered for different levels of experience with everyone feeling relaxed and engaged. The family home is well set up with an authentic and relaxed atmosphere. Questions were welcomed with Surinder and Safia being very attentive to ensure the day went smoothly and everyone had a fun and educational day. The food you cooked was sampled in a relaxed environment around a lovely table set up. The rest of the food is nicely packaged for you to take home. The tastes produced were out of this world. I will be going back soon. Thank you so much Surinder and Safia. Andy Rann xx

I received as a retirement present ‘The Indian Cookery Experience Workshop’ and whilst I looked forward to the day I was not expecting the very high quality training and customer service provided by both Surinder and her daughter, Safia, was second to none. The course to my surprise was actually held in their own family kitchen and we were taught to cook a full three course meal, which we later sampled over a very informative lunch, breads and teas. WE also had enough of hard day’s work to take home for the family to enjoy. The course exceeded my expectations ( I learnt and did things I never thought I would ever do!) and would really recommend this course if you are interested in Indian cooking. I have cooked Indian food in the past but this has only enhanced my knowledge especially about the regionalisation of India and its food. A small group attended the workshop, which allowed us all to have some fun and get individual attention by the teachers. Thank you both and good luck for all your future plans.

Had a wonderful day at Pure Punjabi and learnt all about the basics of Punjabi cooking. Since I had worked in India for sometime I had tasted genuine India food during that time. So it was nice to cook and taste food that was more like the food I had eaten in India even though I was not in the Punjabi region but in the southern part of India. The food is different in various areas of India just as it is the regions of the UK. It was also nice to hear some of the history of the Punjabi region. Surinder & Safia are great company and great teachers. Cant recommend them enough.

What a great way to spend a day. Very relaxed and have been putting what I learned to excellent use (the family are very grateful). I think what I enjoyed most is learning about the "why" and not just the "how". As Surinder and Safia gently reminded us, this is not the food you get in a restaurant, this is what you eat everyday and what's more I genuinely could. Highly recommended and I'm looking forward to going back and learning more.

I can't speak highly enough of this experience. Surinder and Safia are both so very passionate about the origins of their food and methods. With so many stories to listen to, you come away feeling privileged to have been invited into a special world. I spent a wonderful half day enjoying their workshop and came away with a bounty of goodies which we had made. All of it tasted amazing, so fresh, complex and rich in flavour.
I thoroughly recommend Pure Punjabi and for those who can't get to their gorgeous home, the cook-a-long workshops on Zoom are just as much fun, informative and tasty.

This is the best place you can find to learn about true authentic Northern Indian cooking!
Surinder and Safia basically hold your hand through every step, helping you cook some unbelievably delicious dishes.
I have attended the 1 day cooking and street food courses and both were excellent!
If I could give more than 5 stars I would
Thanks again Surinder and Safia!

I had a fantastic day at Pure Punjabi. The pakores were heavenly; the lentil dahl was delicious and the keema was amazing. It’s hard to describe the excitement at witnessing your very first roti inflate before your very eyes. It was great to learn of the background and history of the region – both Surinder and Safia are exceptional communicators as well as exceptional cooks.

I thoroughly recommend Pure Punjabi's parent and child workshop. It was fun and friendly, and we came away with scrummy food we'd made which the whole family loved. We're getting ready to practice the dish again later this week, it was such a hit!
Surinder and Safia made us feel so welcome, and engaged everyone so we all felt relaxed and part of the family for the morning.
Can't wait to try out more of the spice sachets and meal kits!

I have had the pleasure of attending two course so far with Pure Punjabi and bought a number of their products, in all cases the experience and enjoyment has been exceptional. I now frequently cook indian (punjabi type) food from the lessons I learnt from Surinder and Safia, two fo the most friendly, knowledgable and enjoyable people I have met, they make the course so much fun, whats nnot to like. As mentioned their products are amazing and make for brilliant outcomes when cooking, above all else is their own Garam Masala, it is by far the best I have tried, it brings out the best in your cooking adding poweful and tasty flavours to your inidan food. Anybody wanting to try and cook authentic Punjabi food, you really need to give these course a try, you will be more than happy with the results and the time spent with Safia and Surinder, also not to forget Arun, who tidies up after the ladies and keeps the place looking spick and span, he is the real hero here....

Hi Sean, apologies for this very slow response - I don't know how we missed such a lovely customer review. What can we say! Just that we are absolutely delighted to have customers like you, who make our 'job' so easy, enjoyable, and not to say entertaining :) It's especially pleasing to know that after our customers have left our workshop, that they are continuing to cook using the family-style recipes for nutritious daily food. Even more lovely that we know that you buy and use our hand-made products :) If you keep going at this rate, who knows...maybe...one day... you will progress to the grey apron ...we can but hope! As for the younger male member of the team - men who wash and clean up in the kitchen, as you will know, are a real dream, to be forever cherished... :) Surinder & Safia xx

Wow, what an amazing experience it was to have Safia and Surinder cater for us in our home on NYE. They were very professional, friendly and extremely helpful when it came to putting menus together, they maintained a reassuring contact with me throughout the whole process. The result was a wonderful Indian banquet, absolutely delicious! Thank you Ladies..... till the next time! Hoping to join you on one of your cookery schools. Debbie
