Hi. My name is Pat Shelley and I provide tours in and around the Stonehenge area. I take you on an exploration of the many sites which help to explain what Stonehenge may have been about across some beautiful countryside. Many people come back again with other members of their family or on the recommendation of friends. We can help out with transfers and travel arrangements to make your travel plans as smooth as possible. I look forward to meeting you.

We are a bunch of professional Blue Badge Tourist Guides who booked Pat for a tour of the Stonehenge landscape including Durrington Walls. He did a fabulous job putting everything into context in an entertaining and easily digestible way. Whilst most of us keep up with recent developments and research, there's nothing like actually walking around the whole site and... More

We had an absolutely wonderful time here from start to finish. The stones are, of course, fascinating but so are all the staff who work there. We spent 20 minutes talking to an English Heritage geologist who was so informative and clearly extremely passionate about his job and also Stonehenge and was able to pass this enthusiasm onto both us... This was a very informative and enjoyable tour. Pat is personable and knows a lot about his subject. He leads you around other nearby prehistoric sites that give you insight into the henges and their makers, and then the group walks across a pasture filled with sheep and over a crest of land with Stonehenge appearing right in front of... If you want to truly experience Stonehenge then Pat Shelly's inner circle tour is a great way to do it. Considering the time, distance and effort to be at Stonehenge the incremental cost to experience the ruins from inside the circle and not from a path 100 metres away is a small price. Pat is exceptionally passionate and knowledgeable. The... More

Hi Don J. Thanks for taking the time to write a review and glad you enjoyed the tour. You make a very good point - if you are going to make all the effort to go to Stonehenge then a few extra ££s to see it properly is money well spent! Hope you enjoyed the rest of your trip. Kind... More

Wow. This was the most thorough and enjoyable tour I have ever taken. Pat explained and showed us everything modern man could know about Stonehenge and the area around it, which you must understand to get a grasp of what may have happened 3000 B.C.! Be prepared to walk (easy slope) and get a little sheep dung on your shoes... More

Stonehenge is something I believe everyone should see in a lifetime! I have been fascinated from childhood and now residing in the area, take as much opportunity to take my own children to visit regularly! The new visitor centre is informative with many relics to be seen in addition to the 'Stones!' There is a cafe offering excellent refreshment at... More

I am so pleased that I finally visited Stonehenge as wanted to do so for some time. It was an amazing experience, interesting, the weather was excellent, dry, sunny morning the first Sunday of October walking around Stonehenge was tranquil. The buses ran frequently, museum was captivating and gift shop was well laid out and a delight. I have to... More

The standard visit to Stonehenge is pale in comparison to what a visit with Pat Shelley exposes you too. Why just look at Stonehenge from 50 or more feet away with no explanation when you can walk among the stones and get a detailed description of their origin, their size, and their context within the region. After moving about the... More

Hi Sue R, Since your visit I have never looked at those Beware signs without having a smile on my face so thank you for that alone! Thanks for the time to write a review and hope you or your friends will come and see us again. Kind Regards, Pat More

The "Inside Stonehenge" tour led by Pat Shelley was easily the highlight of our 21-day stay in the UK, which included a cruise around the UK and stops in Ireland. His knowledge is incomparable and he's a delightful speaker, holding your attention throughout. I hurt my knee and was unable to do the "walk-up" to Stonehenge, but Pat made sure... More

Pat is no doubt an authority on Stonehenge and the surrounding area. This was the high point of our week long tour of England. We did a Saturday AM tour and we truly were able to walk within the stones as Pat explained theories in a humorous way. The September weather was English, steady rain for most of the tour,... More
