A proper pub, just as it should be. 2 minutes from the station 5/6 minutes from the centre so yes, more of a local but as tourists ourselves we settled nicely. The staff are cheerful and welcoming. Covid measures observed. Front bar has wooden floor and seating, then up a couple of stairs to the back room. This is a large cosy room with sofas. Onto a rear garden. Definately return when next in Salisbury to sample more ales.…

I visited, oooh, ten or so times when I was working in the area in Jan and Feb 2020 - a very friendly Pub with good likeable staff - apart from the inevitable 'Spoons' the cheapest beer in Town and cheapest doesn't mean poor either, in fact the opposite - a great place to stop for one or two 'Sherbet's' while on the way to the Station. Cannot tell a lie this is my local drinking spot. It has changed over the last couple of years and is o so much better in the hand of Dave and run by Toby. This is an old fashioned stye local with wooden floors, with plenty of real ales and real characters. No longer having a pool table in the back room it does though give you plenty of seating area to chat and watch the tv (if that turns you on). This is a great place pre dinner, pre theatre, or pre your choice! Well worth popping into a for a GnT (Bombay of course) and/or a pint of Summer Lighting. No food except crisps.…

Deacons is a lovely friendly pub and my favourite in Salisbury. Great drinks and great atmosphere. Owners are amazing and have a lot of pride in there pub.
