Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We (a Dad and two little ones (8 and 6) just about got to the house before it closed its doors at the back end of the afternoon. What an alluring sight it was, with the open door and the Christmas lights inside! We had a very warm welcome and the staff were helpful, friendly and fun. It's themed for Christmas with unobstrusive but atmospheric and enjoyable references to Dickens' Christmas carol, and it looks really gorgeous inside - NT has done a brilliant job here and we were so pleased to see it. The house itself is an exceptionally appealing and beautiful Baroque town house with remarkable plasterwork, in one of the best urban settings in the country.

We visited after having seen excellent Arundells and perhaps our review is coloured by this. But although the house is interesting the lack of any real connection to former owners is a great drawback. The volunteers certainly don’t lack enthusiasm and we’re all very helpful. The small cafe was delightful- especially in the autumnal sunshine.

Mopesson House is a beautiful house in the middle of Salisbury. It has wonderful interior with interesting Story and helpful housekeeping tips. The highlights are the lovely garden and the Teahouse within. Worth everyones while.

Good introductory talk. All the stewards are keen to engage with you and point out little titbits.
The tearoom is very small but good coffee and hot chocolate was served, even if we were almost sat in the shrubbery to shelter from the drizzle.

Nice little National trust house. Guides very helpful. Quite expensive if not a member as not much to see!

We went on a guided tour by an amusing guide. The house has an impressive facade. The highlight of the house is the plasterwork. Also there is a collection of 18th century wine glasses. The house was stripped of its original furniture etc so the National Trust has bought in furnishings. The pretty garden includes a privy.

Were a little disappointed with this National Trust property, it is very small and not a lot known about its history, and none of the furniture actually belongs with the house. However, the guides were as helpful as they could be on what they did know.
