The House itself is in thr hands of the National Trust - a good period house in the Close - but what lifts it out of the ordinary is the loan collection of drinking glasses. If you have any interest in glass, then this is for you. Well dislayed, not enough information in the cabinets, but such glasses as you... More

A National Trust building which unfortunately was closed on our recent visit. From the exterior the building looks most impressive and is situated in the lovely Cathedral Close. Check your times and dates!

A nice little house in the renowned Close. Worth a visit if you are there but I'm not sure I would go out of my way to visit. As part of a wider visit to Salisbury, pop it on your list.

Found the house by accident whilst visiting the cathedral. What a nice surprise. The rooms were decorated for Christmas, which added to the enjoyment of our visit. Guides were very friendly and helpful.

We visited while in Salisbury for the Christmas market, and found this little National Trust house. Unfortunately the upstairs rooms weren't open, but downstairs was very interesting, and the cafe, though small, was very efficient.

This is the second time we've visited and in May we walked round the house and ate lunch in the lovely courtyard outside. This time it was freezing, so we had to eat in. Three very sweet ladies made us excellent toasties and served good coffee. There are other snacks, cakes etc. The house has so much atmosphere and interesting... More

This still feels like a family home, and the embroidery pictures were amazing. Room stewards were very approachable and knowledgable

We came to this house after visiting the Salisbury cathedral. It's literally a minute walk away and has lovely views of the cathedral from some of its windows. The volunteers were friendly and knowledgeable, particularly liked the room upstairs with a secret door. Two particular volunteers were great - Martin was so friendly and welcoming, he made us laugh and... More
