This is very good church to visit and look at the last judgement fresco or doom painting. This fresco was painted over during the reformation but is now restored and able to be viewed.

Hi Florienda, thank you very much for your kind words, we're so glad you and your family enjoyed your visit to St Thomas's church.

It'd be a pity if you don't visit the parish church whilst you're in Salisbury and just go to the Cathedral. It has an uncommon mural that shows divine judgement to the sinners. Sadly Lawyers and Usurers [Medieval version of Fat Cat Bankers] don't do...More

I know most visitors to Salisbury normally head towards the Cathedral or Stonehenge, but a visit to the Church of St Thomas is a must. A beautiful small church, with so much to see, it's one of those churches with so much to see inside....More

Impossible to miss - as it's over the chancel arch immediately facing you as you enter St Thomas' - the medieval wall painting is a wonder to behold but must have been very scary as a member of the church congregation in medieval times! The...More

It seems strange to say this church is tucked away in the centre of the city however it is very easy to walk passed barely noticing this building. Once inside though it is well worth a look around due to the beautifully maintained church. It...More

This little church is tucked up a side street and could easily be missed - do go in and see an amazing medieval wall painting showing the prospect of Hell and Doom (won't make any comment about how relevant it is in the current economic...More

Thanks, Stonehugger, for your very kind review; the 'Doom' painting is one of the largest and most complete in the country, so we're glad you found it.

We attended the Christmas Carol's service for busy people on 18th Dec 18 at 13:05 - 14:00. The service was festive, religious (more Carols that prayers) and very good. The service was conducted by Rev'd Kelvin Inglis he made it fun whilst reminding us why...More

Dear Phil M, we're so glad you enjoyed our 'Carols for Busy People' service, thank you for coming along to join us. The service on 23rd Dec is 'Nine Lessons and Carols' at 6pm and, though very different to C4BP, is beautiful and moving in...More

This is a beautiful church in the heart of the city well visiting along with the cathedral. At Christmas they have a tree festival, about 100, all shapes and sizes from local groups, schools and businesses, also choir music on Saturday when I went.
