About
For those visitors to Salisbury either for the day or longer, we offer our "Magical History Tour" to Stonehenge. The Magical History Tour is not just a means of transporting you to Stonehenge but also a journey to explore the very soul of the people who have left such a mark on the landscape and in the psyche of today's visitors. Before reaching the World Heritage Site you will be fully acquainted with the magnitude of the tasks these people undertook. At Old Sarum we stop and admire the fabulous 360 degree views. Originally an Iron-Age Fort, Old Sarum was inhabited by Celts, Romans,Saxons, Vikings and finally Normans. We stop and visit the ruined castle and imagine the chivalrous Knights jousting in the castle grounds, and wenches gossiping by the well....A short drive takes us to Old Harnham Mill close to the spot chosen by John Constable for his iconic painting of Salisbury Cathedral. Set amongst water meadows and away from the City, this is a view seen by too few visitors, which is a pity, because it is simply stunning

Day trip to Salisbury and Stonehenge. Had a fantastic day with Sebastiano. He was extremely knowledgeable (on some nay topics, not just the places we visited), warm, funny, and a brilliant guide. The Jaguar was beautiful, and very comfortable.
The booking was very well done, Geoff was very helpful and accommodating when we altered the dates.
Thank you for making it a very enjoyable trip.

we had a over night stay at stonehenge camp site, its a lovery camp site near stonehenge its self. They have their shower and toilet blocks open and keep them clean and tidy. They also have a small shop in reception were you can buy your milk, bread and other bits. They were happy to give us details of places to eat near by. We would stay there again .

Picked up at the Southampton Cruise Terminal for a day of touring Stonehenge, Salisbury and surrounding areas with Sebastian and what a truly wonderful and informative time did I and my group have!!
This tour is operated by a highly professional who are truly knowledgeable and passionate about providing some of the best service you will find!!
I suggest you ask for Sebastion, we enjoyed every second of the day with his vast commentary of Stonehenge and Salisbury. He went out of his way several times to accommodate our request and took care of us like we were Royals :-)
Thank you Sebastian, you made a wonderful day for us that we will remember always!!

If you are looking for a tour in the grand manner of these knockout sights around Southampton, search no further. Very straightforward, personal arrangements via internet from the US (Tim in charge). My wife and I disembarked from the Queen Mary 2 and were met by the driver-guide Sebastian who took us in a luxury sedan to Salisbury, Old Sarum and Stonehenge, providing a genuinely erudite and lively commentary on the historical significance of the sites. You could not have asked for a better way of putting the gorgeous scenery and structures into context: first class. We had opted for a picnic lunch (served elegantly in the fort of Old Sarum) and assure anyone considering it that it is worth the price. It is not a cheap ticket but it delivers good value for the money.

We had three outstanding and memorable days touring Wiltshire in mid-June 2018 with Value Cars Group/Executive Connection/Salisbury, Stonehenge and Sarum Tours. Planning with Geoff was seamless. Our driver Mark was knowledgeable, creative, adaptive and great company. Always on time and cheerful, he introduced us to a two-hour walk along river locks near Devizes that was an unexpected bonus to our planned itinerary through gardens and stones. We decided late to switch timing form an after-breakfast departure for a day at Avebury to an early-afternoon start so we could see the stones at sunset and twilight (highly recommended) and Value Cars readily made the change. Being there in the evening, including a pub dinner at the Red Lion, recommended by Mark, was a wonderful culmination to our travels through Wiltshire. On the last morning, we were picked up on time at our Salisbury Hotel and delivered to Heathrow ahead of schedule and with a smooth ride, time for Flat Whites en route at Starbucks and no anxiety. We could not be more appreciative and will definitely engage this company when we return to Wiltshire.

From the start Tim and his staff have been kind, professional, and accommodating. Our guide- Sebastian- was amazing. His depth of knowledge was invigorating and his charming delivery added to the magical atmosphere of this area. We felt that we were taken to places we would never discover on our own and led through them by one who was just as awed as we were! Even in a "charming English mist"- read soaked to the bone- Sebastian guided us with enthusiasm and genuine concern for our well being and enjoyment. Thanks to Tim and Sebastian we have wonderful lifelong memories of so much more than just Stonehenge- although those are pretty cool!

Our group of five visited Salisbury and Old Sarum in September 2016 with the friendly, knowlegable and professional service of Tim from "Salisbury, Stonehenge and Sarum tours". Tim picked us up right on time at our cruise ship terminal, delivered an interesting commentary on the drive to and from Salisbury, showed us all the places we had asked to see and additionally organised a fantastic lunch at "The Red Lion", an ancient pub built at the same time as the cathedral, with a personalised tour of the historic building by the proprietor included. Tim's van was spotless, water was provided, we arrived back at the ship in plenty of time.. the whole day was very worthwhile and satisfying, We were a happy, appreciative group and are grateful to Tim for giving us such a good time.

It a day tour from Southampton. I was not sure I would be able to make it given my current difficulty with walking long distances. However, all my needs were taken into consideration with big care. Otherwise I wouldn't have experienced the amazing views and captivating commentaries and detailed explanations provided by the guide. Very knowledgeable and enthusiastic, Sebastian is really a top quality guide. And a very careful driver which is also very important

We loved every minute of our tour with Sebastian. He is knowledgable and enthusiastic, and gave us a thorough tour of the area. My husband forgot his phone in the car while we toured Stonehenge, and Sebastian texted me to remind my husband that it was time to take his blood pressure medication, because his phone alert had gone off. Wonderful!

I love Tim and sabastian... anyone can drive u around and give you a prepared Tour.. But this company shares the passion of the history of Salisbury and their wonderful personality like none other..if you need 100 questions asked Tim will answer them in a timely manner... so u feel as if you have a friend by the time you get on their beautiful mercedes van ...... i love these people... I have even gone as far as telling fellow cruisers on cruise critic if you dont like your tour i will refund your $$.. We were lucky to visit a new dig site older than Stonehenge on the way to the airport after our transatlantic cruise on Princess... wish i could have stayed longer with my english friends...

Hi, does the Full-Day Tour of Salisbury and Stonehenge from Salisbury include a tour of the inner circle? or is it just the standard visit?
Written 11 January 2019
Hi! At the Stonehenge site, you can't get past the ropes, but they do allow you to come quite close to the stones.
However, part of the tour also includes visiting Woodhenge, and while there, visitors can walk all over that site...nothing is roped off.
Geoff is absolutely wonderful, and will provide fascinating info about everything during your full-day tour. I highly recommend it!
Written 20 January 2019
Hi,
Can you arrange a behind the ropes access for April 15th, 2017? There are four of us traveling and we have our own transport. Guided tour would be lovely too if possible!!! It's a special occasion. Many thanks!
