I am so happy we had a private tour of Stonehenge from Jill instead of a group tour. She tailored the commentary to what we were interested in and during the drive she taught us the history of the area and shared funny anecdotes. The weather wasn't great so she adjusted the itinerary slightly to keep us as dry as possible, and she is a very safe driver. She was patient with my many questions before we decided and her reservation and booking system was easy. We will absolutely phone her next time we are in England for another private day tour.…

I heard about Jill and Windsor Day Tours while I was reading reviews about tours available from a different tour company. One reviewer suggested that Jill was a great option, and he was 100% correct. Jill met us at the terminal at Heathrow at the arranged time. She expertly maneuvered traffic and got us to Stonehenge promptly. Jill toured Stonehenge with us, and she was very knowledgeable about the history of stones. Our next stop was at Burbidge Bakery, a bakery we had found while researching the area around Stonehenge. While this is not a usual stop for most tours, Jill was more than happy to accommodate our request, and we all left with goodies for later. We continued to a beautiful little village called Wherwell. We had a short walk around town before the rain forced us inside. Luckily, Jill had arranged for us to have lunch at a quaint pub called The White Lion Inn. We enjoyed great conversation and a lovely meal. We also made a brief stop at Windsor Castle before being returned to our hotel. Jill was very accommodating and willing to provide us with a tour that met our needs. Our trip to Stonehenge, Wherwell, and Windsor was fabulous! You can't go wrong with Windsor Day Tours! …

Thank you for your wonderful review. Because of you, I've found a great little bakery to take other people if they want! That's the joy of private tours, and what I relish - being able to make a tour just right for you, and incorporating those personal touches. If ever you're over again, I hope I may be able to show you some more of this lovely country.

We were a small group of 6 people in Southampton as a cruise port. Jill met us right at the terminal and picked us at the designated time. From there we drove to Windsor Cathedral for a lovely tour and then a short walking tour of Windsor. From there we drove through the English Countryside and stopped for an English Pub Lunch which was included in our fare. Then onto Stonehenge where we had plenty of time to see the iconic stones and Jill was very knowledgeable of the history and gave us a private guided tour. On our way back to our ship, we drove through the "New Forest" where we were delighted with many farm animals roaming the roads.…

Thank you for your lovely review, and for being such a great group too! I'm glad you enjoyed your day with me, although I should point out I took you to Winchester, not Windsor! We did really well with the animal spotting in the New Forest too, didn't we! I never know how that will turn out, as the animals go where they like, but you did get to see a good selection. For others considering a shore excursion, I do think this is a good itinerary to see something iconic but also quintessential English countryside. Hope I get to have the pleasure of your company some other time too.

My husband and I actually met Jill while on vacation in the Caribbean last year. When I learned that she was a tour guide in the Stonehenge/Winsdor area I was so excited as this was one of the main things we wanted to do while in London this summer,. She suggested we take the train to Windsor to see the castle in the morning and then to have lunch. We met her that afternoon and she then drove us to Stonehenge. The traffic was horrible but she did an amazing job determining the best route to get us there before closing time. It actually worked out beautifully as Stonehenge was not crowded this late in the day. Jill is extremely knowledgeable about Stonehenge and gives different perspectives on the meaning and purpose of this incredible site. Afterwards she drove us to the charming English village of Wherwell where we were able to see beautiful thatch roof homes and had a delicious meal in a local pub there. Thank you Jill for making this such a memorable day!…

I had a business trip in the Windsor area with 3 co-workers from the U.S. and I wanted to fit in a Stonehenge tour. I arranged for Jill to pick the 4 of us up at Heathrow the day we arrived, around noon. She took us through Wherwell - with its beautiful thatched-roof homes - on our way to Stonehenge, where she was our guide. She has done her research and it was a fascinating tour! At the end of the day she dropped us off at our hotel in Windsor. She was entertaining, pleasantly opinionated, and flexible with our requests. She even kept the rain at bay until we were done with our visit. Highly recommended!…
