    Nice Racecourse
Nice little racecourse, lovely view from the 1866 restaurant. A few issues meant I can't give 5 stars - the broccoli was burnt to a crisp, my beef was very fatty and there was sediment in the bottle of white wine we had which meant we had to leave some, and at £30 a bottle that's not good! Great service from the waiting staff though, especially Pippa. We took the river taxi from Windsor town which is a great way to do it! Very relaxing!

    Fabulous Family Fun Day
Great day out at Windsor Racecourse on 'Family Fun Day' with friends and family! On top of the racing, there was lots for the kids to do and a great selection of food and drink for all to enjoy as well. A fabulous day enjoyed by all... will be back!

Summer Evening Racing at its Best
Had a brilliant evening of racing with 2 other couples at one of the best settings in British horseracing. Fantastic food & competitive races for a fab time. Highly recommended for an exciting Monday evening outing, especially when combined with live music after racing.

Over charging spoilt what should have been a great night
It was a hot night but we live in New Zealand and understand the need to have shade. We went with relations and they said how they used to love going as it was a family friendly event they had a great picnic area and it was set up for families. That is now gone and an empty space. We paid for our entry and they then asked us to pay $10 per person to sit at a table with an umbrella. This area was not used as it was so dear and people were sat drinking alcohol in full on sun exposure. Why not an affordable price this is a health and safety issue sun exposure and the effect of alcohol and the sun.

    Monday nights
Went on a lovely sunny evening and thoroughly enjoyed it. Been many times before but noticed this time they seem to be fleecing you far more than they used to. One major criticism is lack of seats as the wooden benches are now in a private area and cost £10 . If you are not very mobile you will struggle ad you have to stand all evening and there is nowhere to put you food or drink down at all. This part is very poor

Well where do we start, we booked family tickets for the fireworks display including a wristband for our child to use the rides.

When we arrived the course seemed very crowded and no room for any COVID guidance.

We were sent a voucher to allow us to get a band for the rides, why not send the band in the post as the queues were about 200+ long to get the bands and then the queues for the rides were as long.

We went to get sum food, only food was from a sort of off road burger van, bottle of water £2.50, two burgers and a kids portion was over £30🤬

The night was to overcrowded and seemed that the racecourse was only interested in profit or had no control over who rented it.

Can I ask all to blacklist the course and support our local shows.

Let’s call it Windsor ( supper greed) race course

Have been going to Windsor races for a good few years now but the meeting on the afternoon of Saturday 25th June safely reached an all time low. The only good thing was that the parking was easy, mainly because it was no where near as crowded as in the past (I can now see why). Entrance to Jubilee was unreasonably expensive for a really low entry list of horses. Of the 7 race card the numbers for each race consisted of the following runners: 6,7, 3,4, 5, 5 and 7 … pretty disappointing both as a spectacle and from a betting point of view. Those in charge of racing at Windsor really need to take a long hard look at what they are providing as entertainment to the public if they expect customers to return. Great pity.

The event on paper sounded brilliant but it was very poorly executed.

The event was jam packed, so much so it didn’t feel safe. Too many tickets were sold or people who didn’t purchase tickets must have entered - which is quite possible as tickets weren’t being checked on entry.

The fun fair was very poorly thought out. You could not buy tickets for individual rides, the only option available was a £20pp wristband (and parents were NOT allowed to accompany a child on a ride without their own wrist band which led to a ridiculous expense for a few fair ground rides ). This consequently led to unmanageable queues for fairground rides, as quite rightly people wanted to get their money’s worth after spending so much money on wristbands. The queuing system hadn’t been thought through and we lost count of the amount of times people jumped the long queues.

We barely saw any roaming dinosaurs (the star attraction) and the firework display was poor compared to others in the area. We left half way through the display feeling thoroughly ripped off. We won’t be returning.

Monday night racing at Royal Windsor Racecourse. £29 per ticket for admission to the Jubilee Enclosure and a £3 fulfilment charge, £10 for a kebab, £3 for an ice cream, £6.90 for a 175ml glass of house wine. Queues for food and drink 30 minutes to an hour long. Rowdy members of the public shouting foul language with young children in ear shot getting louder and drunker by the hour. There is nothing glamorous or Royal about this racecourse.

Save yourself your hard earned money. Fill your fridge with food and drink and watch the racing from Windsor on the TV from the comfort of your own home. You will save yourself a small fortune (not to mention the cost of fuel to get to the course and back home again) and you are not missing anything in my opinion.

Credit where it’s due, the parking stewards were well organised and provided a friendly welcome and the ladies in the Information Centre on the course were very helpful but that’s where it ends.

I went with my wife and child to their fireworks night and was very disappointed with the event, we felt it was overbooked, overcrowded and overpriced.

We purchased two wristbands for £40 and we only managed to get on 2 rides in total due to the huge queues. Also huge queues for the food stalls.

I feel very disappointed by the evening and frustrated it cost me so much money. Spending £40 at a fun fair to get on 2 rides is ridiculous at a pre booked event.

Tried to contact their customer service and never got a reply.

Awful, won’t ever be coming here again.

Bought tickets for myself, husband, son & 4yr old grandson- what a fiasco!
Saw one dinosaur despite it being advertised as a Jurassic dinosaur themed event with no clue where the rest were!
Actual firework display was good, little one loved it but totally let down by the rest of it.
Completely over- sold with no thought for anyone safety , paid £40 for 2 funfair rides due to the queues with people pushing in and no management as to where everyone should be just as other reviews have said pure carnage.
Lots of upset kids having to queue in the cold not understanding why they can’t go on all the rides, couldn’t get anything to eat or drink due to long wait and extortionate prices.
Windsor racecourse you should be ashamed

My wife and I visited the racecourse on day three of the June festival. We booked the Gastro restaurant and a lovely three course meal there comprising of ham hock terrine and soup to start, ribeye steaks for main and lemon tart / tiramisu for dessert.

There is no view of course in the restaurant which is unusual but not an issue for us as we simply got up and went to see the racing’s as we pleased.

Even managed to leave with more money than had gone there with which is a huge bonus!

really enjoyable evening, thanks Windsor Racecourse!

This event was organised for a 50th Birthday treat. We had an executive box with a 3 course meal.
The view from the box was amazing, winning straight and the pre race parade area.
The racing was good but don't listen to the tipster "Tim" On his form I think he was more tipsy than tipster.
Food was also very nice.
We all had a fantastic time and the music after was a nice addition.
The only issue was the service. The food was supposed to be served between races 1 and 2, 3 and 4 etc. however the timings were very wrong and food would arrive when races were starting therefore sitting on the tables getting cold.
Also having pre-booked the meals for individuals earlier in the year staff could not supply some dishes.
This did spoil the event a bit and the quote of the night from staff "we didn't know you were coming"
This was booked October 2020 lol.
Like I said a great night and great event and if you travel by boat even better.

I was so excited to take my 4 year old twins to this event. We normally stay local but after seeing all the advertisements about the best dinosaur experience I had to book.. Really wish i hadn't.
The crowd was insane I've never seen an event so busy in my life and being a single mum with 2 small children I was so nervous about losing one or them getting hurt by adults who seem to think it's OK to push and shove other children to get on rides! No warning previous that only option for fair was the £20 band I can't afford £40 so thought they could share by each picking a differant ride ... No the horrible ride operators said if you take band off which had to be ripped off its invalid! So £20 for 1 ride! £7 for cold noodles and £10 for smallest bag of pick n mix. Fireworks were not impressive and we saw one dinosaur which was a guy in a suit who thought it was funny to whip round so fast his heavy tail smacked adults in face... Is that meant to be funny?! Honestly worst event I've ever been too! total waste of money & will never return to any event held there purely for their utter greed!!

I attended the Queen race and music night.
I hope other events are better organised.

The racing was good and there was good views and lots of places to get drinks.

The problem arose when the music started at the end and all the drunks (especially from the club enclosures) and other areas started spilling peoples drinks, bumping into the crowd and I even got attacked in the toilets.

I reported this to the security with a witness who stood up for me but the security just ask the guys to leave the toilets and he was free to cause trouble in the venue.

If you go with kids or in a small group I don't recommend staying until the end.

There seems to be no complaints process either so thought I'd share it here!!!!

I won't be going again.
