We parked away from the madding crowd over the bridge in Eton(Meadow Lane car park), and walked the ten minutes into Windsor. The castle looks so imposing, an incredible icon of everything that is great about England in all of its glory! We pre-booked after...More

We caught the train from Kings Cross to Paddington and changed to the Great Western Rail, with ease. We had pre purchased our tickets for the castle on line, and so glad we did, the queue without tickets was very long first thing in the...More

Beautiful castle inside & out. A great day out for people of all ages. Visit on a day when changing of the guards is on, as it's not on every day. No cafe/refreshments inside but you can get a wristband from the shop which allows...More

Went as a group and all thoroughly enjoyed it. Disappointed that the Doll's House wasn't open. Excellent all the same. On the down side, the gift shops pull figures out of the air for prices. Everything ridiculously over-priced.

Wrongly I assumed it would be like other European castle. However, its interior, architecture as well as special features like the live Royal watch men parade, its living English gardens an much more is unique and make the visit a genuine UK experience. From the...More

Whilst the castle itself is grand, most of it is off limits. The Chapel is regularly closed and you cannot walk freely in the grounds. The attraction is terribly overpriced and as with all the other London attractions - completely overhyped. The city of Windsor...More
