If you can only go to one castle in the world pick this. We started with a short tour of the gardens with Fiona, she was very informative. Loved seeing this amazing castle and ended up joining the evensong service at 5:15. The free tour...More

It really irks me to give one of our iconic historical sites a bad review but Windsor Castle is seriously let down by the organisation that runs it. Firstly we arrived at 10 am to be confronted by a queue that snaked 1/4 mile round...More

Windsor Castle is a beautiful, wonderful place--but it is not for the disabled. To get to the castle from the entrance, one must walk up a very steep hill for quite a long distance on cobblestones. We used one of their wheelchairs and it was...More

While grown ups with an interest in history, royalty, antiques and architecture may enjoy this historical site, beware if you have young children in tow, as there is little to interest them. Other negatives include the massive queues to get in (due to understandably tight...More

We loved the castle. The audio guides provided were extremely interesting and helpful. The opulence combined with history made for a great excursion. We spent a couple hours here. However, the line was crazy long to get in. Most of the lines (2 hours for...More

We took the train from Waterloo in London out to Windsor for the day, and had a wonderful visit! The train ran every half hour from Waterloo Station (leaving after 9:00 a.m. saves about 7 pounds on the train), and the ride takes an hour....More

Definitely worth seeing even if doll house isn't on display . Hampton court is the one I would drop but you may prefer this attraction over Windsor. Buckingham palace will be the Highlight for sure. Safe travels :)

The guard parade through the town and into the castle playing their instruments. Not every day though. Look at the website. Inside the castle thy play for an extra 15 minutes which is lovely. Check website for times and route
