We took a day trip out from London Paddington station, which was not too difficult. The only thing is that you have to change to a 2 carriage train at Slough. So you have to make your way from platform 3 to platform 1 after getting off the train. It was a short walk to the castle and signages are... More

Architecturally stunning - perhaps the best castle in all of the UK. Definitely worth visiting once in Windsor.

Make sure you pick up a free audio tour from the start, then it's amazing things all of the way around. Wow, what a place. Do take sandwiches if you plan to be there for a long time though.

£20 entry fee. If you sign for gift aid you can use your entry ticket as much as you like for 12 months from purchase date. The tour guide.Eddie was very good and lasted 30/35 minutes. The Castle State rooms and Dolls House were interesting. The whole experience lasted between 2 and 3 hours. There is no Cafe/Restaurant.

Awestruck and my other half laughed at me as a result. Every excellent comment you read is true. It's worth the entry fee - suggest hitting a guide tour if possible.

We took the train from London on a day trip. We arrived near lunch time and lunch in the village. We then purchased tickets after a short queue and we were on our way. The audio guide is very useful in helping to guide the tour and provide the historical and royal significance of the castle and artifacts. It's a... More

There's nothing I can say about Windsor Castle than hasn't already been said by countless visitors over the decades (or centuries!). It's truely a magnificent place. One word of warning though; when parking in any of the 'Pay & Display' areas nearby make sure to buy sufficient time because if you don't you will be fined £100 (£60 if you... More

We went to Windsor castle to see the exhibition of the Queens gowns and frocks. However we weren't expecting to find such a quaint town with beautiful walks, eateries and shops. We were sorry we were only there for,the day as we would love to visit more of the area. Loved it.
