Today we visited Windsor Castle with our 88 yr old mother & 4 yr old daughter and had a brilliant afternoon. The staff at the castle were overwhelmingly friendly and helpful. We put Mum in a wheelchair as she has limited walking tolerance and the staff were actually radioing ahead to greet us in each area of the castle to... More

Taking a day trip into Windsor was very cool! We had fun just walking around the town, it was a nice change of pace compared to the city of London. Windsor Castle was amazing- our favorite attraction that we visited. The staff here is vey nice and informative- you can ask many questions and they will share their knowledge. The... More

On a Saturday morning the guards can be seen processing from the castle into the town, playing various musical instruments. This is an impressive sight. The castle itself is a huge variety of architectural styles, from the 1,000 year old round tower to the Victorian era apartments. The Queen lives somewhere in these huge buildings. It is an amazing sight... More

There isn't much actual public access to The interior spaces at Windsor Castle, and the day we went the stat apartments were under eno so even fewer sights to see. But the miniatures are lovely, and the China collections, and the grounds are interesting and picturesque. We were overwhelmed by at least FIVE castle shops, so in the end of... More

Windsor castle is a great indoor attraction during raining days or when the weather is too cold to stay inside. Windsor in itself is a nice get away from busy london. I really enjoyed touring around the castle's breathtaking interiors that reflects different parts of the UK's history. I also enjoyed seeing the China and the unique dollhouse of Queen... More

Windsor, is a quaint little town, southeast of London, and a must go destination for a day trip. Hop on a train at Waterloo Station and relax for the next 50 minutes. When you arrive the towns adorableness will take over you and the castles magnificence will astound you. I recommend purchasing the tickets online so you can avoid the... More

Went yesterday, was hoping to see all the state rooms but they announced when we got there they were closed for refurb, think these dates should be announced early as we had planned a night in Windsor then the castle for the day. Its a beautiful place and so huge, was just disappointed most of it was closed.

The trip on the train to Windsor from London was 1 hour and well priced (£12 pp) but on arrival we discovered that the staterooms were not open although they dis reduce the price to £11.30 each. This was a bit disappointing but after having paid for the train there really was little option. We took the guided tour which... More

Fantastic place to visit, never get tired of going there. Friends from Portugal absolutely loved it. Don't miss visiting the Windsor Castle if you are in the area.

Having moved to England from England more than 5 years ago now, I never thought to ask my English fiancé to go there for a visit. But when my sister and her husband came to visit, I thought this would be the perfect day out cultural visit - and we weren't disappointed! The castle and its surrounding are nothing but... More
