Very personal feel to the tour, like being welcomed into someone's home as an old friend. Phenomenal house with a rich history you can almost taste the centuries in the walls. Throughly recommended.

The house is by guided tour which takes around an hour and the house opens at 1.30pm (open season is limited so check before travel). Parking is plentiful on the grassed area in front of the house and you're welcome to enjoy a picnic (however,...More

There is no doubt that this historic manor looks extremely picturesque and the rooms inside are quite in keeping with the exterior. My favourite room was the last one - the dining room but the first is also very atmospheric. The house is not quite...More

The state of the gardens has been noted and the head gardener will be summoned to explain herself. On the other hand the experience of visiting Dorney is really all about the manor house and we do not market the gardens for the very reason...More

Amazing 600 year old house, occupied by same family for about 500 years. Mainly dark wood, tapestries and faded wall paper, unusual Great Hall with family crests, interesting additions made over the years to accommodate the family. Due to a wedding at venue we were...More

We are very pleased that you enjoyed your visit and found the tour as interesting as we would hope. However, we are disappointed that you were unable to see the church. It is a beautiful building and full of character. We are very lucky that...More

Definitely worth a visit and will come back to view the house. We only went to the garden shop, garden centre, the gardens and the cafe. But we enjoyed it all and would highly recommend. Great choice of food in the cafe, lovely atmosphere, very...More

My husband & I enjoyed a 'Mind the Gap" cycling tour which took us to Dorney Court for a yummy Cream Tea. We sat in the delightful garden with our huge home-made scones and individual jam and Cream and attractive pot of tea . For...More

For some years I have passed the turning to Dorney Court and finally I stopped to visit. Wish I had stopped by sooner! A lovely house that is still a home, surrounded by open feeling gardens and a genuinely old church plus a lovely converted...More

An absolutely charming visit during August - the only period during which the Palmer Family kindly make their beautiful and historic home available to the general public. Arriving at about 13:30, we were asked to join a group of 20 who had just commenced their...More

The family are really pleased that you enjoyed your visit and thank you for your feedback. Belatedly, we will be moving from the fifteenth to the twenty-first century in 2017 by accepting payment by card. Exciting times.

This place is open to the public during the afternoon for the whole of August. Guided tour of the quirky house lasts about an hour, ours was led by a very knowledgeable young man who I think may have been one of the family. Well...More
