Loved the gardens & the mongoose grave stone!! Lots of local history & artefacts. The building alone is worth the visit & the £4.50 entry fee lasts for a full year means you can visit as many times as you like! The guy on reception was a font of information too very interesting. You could see he was passionate about his job & such a good story teller. Well done Evesham Museum

The house is very picturesque. However the contents of the museum are more like a jumble sale.I am hard pressed to remember 8 hours later what there was.

Great little museum packed with artefacts reflecting the history of Evesham from prehistoric times to 20th century. The staff are very knowledgeable and willing to share stories about local histories. Only £5 adult entry. Great value. Plenty of on-street parking on weekdays not sure about weekends. Highly recommended for history buffs.

Okay it’s not the British Museum but for a couple of hours, and for a very reasonable price it’s well worth a visit. The Abbey Room, is a highlight (the only eye witness account of Cromwell’s men entering an abbey during the reformation if worth the entrance price alone in my book) as are the displays featuring recordings in the local Asum dialect. Me and my Son got especially lucky on our visit when the museum’s weapons expert invited us to see him prepare for a school visit the following day. He couldn’t have been more enthusiastic, generous and helpful and my son left with a huge grin.

Thank you for your kind words! We really enjoyed meeting both you and your son and hope you were able to take away lots of knowledge with you. You'll have to be sure to return soon once the military room has been finished, there will be plenty of previously unseen weapons on display!

OK, it's a local museum in an extremely old and fascinating building. However, it tries to do too much with the danger of becoming akin to a jumble sale. It would do better to reduce the number of items on display and focus on a small number of topics.
