About
Offering far more than an ordinary cinema, our day time up-market coffee shop turns into a wine bar in the evening alongside our Circle and Auditorium Bars. Audiences have the choice to watch films sat at candlelit tables on the ground floor or to snuggle up in the double love seats, regular seats or one of our four Royal Boxes in the circle and enjoy refreshments from any of our bars, before, during and after the film... Films range from blockbusters to classics, family favourites to art house and independent. We have family films every weekend and extra family shows in the holidays, as well as parent and baby shows on Thursday mornings. On Tuesdays we host Silver Screen matinee shows and Big Breakfast screenings are the perfect start to the day. The Regal is a true community venue, and, in addition to films and live screenings from the Royal Opera House, we host a broad range of events live music and comedy, as well as other live performances.

- Beverley MBretforton, United Kingdom10 contributionsWeekend at the RegalMy friend and I went twice last weekend, 1st time for Don't Stop Believing, 2nd time A Little Life. Both were amazing, despite being completely different. Great venue, the staff are very friendly and the nachos are to die for!Hi Beverley, We are so glad you enjoyed both our live music night and theatre screening! Perhaps next you can come visit us for a movie, a pantomime or maybe some live comedy? We have lots coming up and hope you visit us again sometime soon (and have more of our nachos!). - Phil M8 contributionsAlways a Regal experience here. We love it!Since we moved to Evesham three years ago we have been to the Regal almost every month, either for a film or to one of the amazing live music events. The venue is beautifully old-school and the staff are always warm and friendly. Food and drinks can be ordered by text and brought to your seat. Frequent emails announce the forthcoming events and allow tickets to be booked in advance online. A huge thank you to everybody who works so hard to keep The Regal going and long may it be a huge presence in Evesham.Thank you so much for your glowing review of our independent cinema and for your loyal custom and support - we appreciate it so very much and look forward to welcoming you back in the new year!Written 28 December 2023This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of Tripadvisor LLC.Visited December 2023Travelled with familyWritten 19 December 2023

- Mark8888Cheltenham, United Kingdom121 contributionsGreat movie & live event experienceJust been back again and I mix up cinema with live shows. It's a beautiful art deco building and really made by the people who welcome us each time and even bring food or drink to our seats on demand. This is far from the cookie cutter impersonal experience at other cinemas; it feels like family and you still get to watch a movie on a large screen but in comfort.Thank you so much for your fantastic review! We are so happy that you feel at home at our independent cinema and look forward to welcoming you back soon.Written 8 January 2024This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of Tripadvisor LLC.Visited January 2024Travelled with familyWritten 7 January 2024
- Jacqui KEvesham, United Kingdom32 contributionsThe Regal Cinema-Evesham.Living in between Evesham & Cheltenham, The Regal Cinema, is our go to venue for films and live entertainment. (Check on line for films, live events and membership discounts). It’s an original art deco building, inside and out and has a feel good welcome with an incredible friendly team. Chip, Antonia, Laurence, James, Amy and so many others. We love to support them and it’s an experience like no other cinema. Extremely personable, comfortable and enjoyable. Good food available for all diets and tastes, teas, coffees, alcohol etc which can be enjoyed in the cafe, bar or at your seats. Two little tips:- 1. If stairs are a problem for you book downstairs with tables and very comfortable chairs. 2. Make sure you go! Natanya ( Jacqui) & Maureen.Hello! - SussexStorm282 contributionsWonderful independent cinema! This afternoon we came to the beautiful Regal Cinema to watch 'One Life'. The film was great, but would have been great anywhere. But it was the beautiful cinema and the staff who made this an experience to be remembered. The young lady we met today clearly loved her job and the cinema, and nothing was too much trouble for her. The cinema is wonderful with a choice of seating styles - cafe style tables and chairs on the ground floor, armchairs and sofas upstairs and table service from the bar. The carpet is custom made with the logo of the Regal Cinema, and the toilets are worthy of a 5* hotel. We love independent cinemas and we'd rate this as the best we've been to. A fantastic experience, and compliments to the staff who made the day. Thank you!!Thank you so much for such a wonderful review! We really do appreciate all of your enthusiasm and support. - Andrew RiversTewkesbury, United Kingdom1 contributionWell, there’s cinemas. And there’s cinemas (Wonka)My family and I came to see Wonka and wanted to thank all involved in what was an absolutely lovely experience for all of us. The compare, host, the food and a relaxed setting in a lovely cinema were all wonderful but I'd like to add a special mention to Marcell who served us at our table who couldn't have been more courteous or attentive, and went out of his way to make sure my family were having an amazing experience, one of which you rarely get to that level elsewhere. Marcell did all he could to make sure we were happy and enjoyed our time at your delightful cinema. It showed what a really great place it is that he and everyone cared so much. Thank you Antonia, Aaron, Nikola and Marcell, and anyone I’ve missed!Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review of our independent cinema, we greatly appreciate your support and it was so kind of you to mention each of the team who helped to make your trip special. We are thrilled that you felt so well looked after for the duration of your visit and that you could enjoy the time with your family. We really hope to see you again soon! Really love the comfort but it’s all quite mad! Queues for drinks, coffee etc and nothing to tell you when you get to the front and go to pay that they don’t take cash so you can’t have the drink you’ve queued for unless you have a card. I paid for the lady in front of me. Staff are lovely but have no idea what is going on. Pre ordered my coffee. Got to my seat. Wasn’t there. Queued for 10 minutes to be told that it was delivered to my seat but someone else must have had it! -I was 10 minutes early. It is now card only-pkease tell people before they queue for ages to see their drinks chucked because they can’tvpay for them!!

I went with friends to see Daniel Craig's final film as Bond. The service and food were fantastic. I would highly recommend to couples or larger groups who want a relaxed environment to enjoy a film. Food is served prior to the film with snacks and drinks available via table service throughout the performance. Beautiful surroundings and a lovely evening.

We visited The Regal Cinema on Saturday evening to see 'The Greatest Showman'. It was a most enjoyable occasion and the first time we had been to see a film for many, many months due to the pandemic.
We felt safe and secure with social distancing measures clearly in place.
Thank you for putting on such excellent films as this one and keeping the cinema going in very challenging and difficult times. Please keep up the good work!

Art Deco cinema perfectly restored ; prefer the circle myself as seats comfie with lots of leg room. The staff are all you could wish , considereate and helpful. I've been to a couple of live shows in addition to films , again , a wonderful experience .
There was talk some years ago of adding an additional small screen to address the demand for 'art house' films , the audience for which would not fill the main auditorium. Having said that , the Regal does make an effort to show films which are not Hollywood blockbusters
Commended

This is an exceptional venue, the cinema is almost straight out of the Art Deco period, very retro and interesting. This is an independent cinema, and quite u like the commercial cinema that is completely soulless. I disagree with some of the comments that the tickets are expensive. Try visiting other art house cinema in Cheltenham or Bristol, most costs at least £20 a ticket/per person and that comes without food or drink. At Regal, we paid £6 per ticket. Sure enough, the food and drinks cost more, damn how else are they going to make a profit otherwise. If cheap night out is what you are looking for, then perhaps the likes of Odeon would be more suited but you sure won’t get the leg room and hospitality that Regal has to offer. This is the sort of venue I would indefinitely support and long may it last.

You can hire a whole cinema and share your favourite film with friends and family! If you are looking for a venue to celebrate a " big" something special then go here. There's bars, a coffee shop and catering available to suit all budgets. But, best of all, there's the atmosphere. As soon as you pass through the Art Deco doors you know it's going to be extraordinary. The staff are welcoming and supportive. The ground floor has a nightclub feel to it set out with tables of 4 and large, comfortable recliner chairs and a long cocktail bar. The little central lights on the tables give it the retro feel and I usually expect Rick from Casablanca to come striding through (but sometimes it's Bugsy Malone). Order drinks by text. Upstairs you get a Royal Box feel as the wide, comfortable plush chairs are set in pairs with little separating tables. Don't miss it. It's a unique, happy place

This is such a special place! We love watching their wide range of films, sometimes just the two of us (cozily upstairs in the ‘love-seats’) or with friends, round the tables downstairs in such comfortable armchairs. Wherever you sit, you will be welcomed warmly by the enthusiastic young staff who are obviously so committed to great entertainment and who clearly love the theatre and the customers. Good food and wine, served at your seat, comes as an additional benefit.
We know that things must be desperate for everyone at The Regal during these dystopian times and really can’t wait to support them to the hilt the minute they are open - already booked for the delayed Bond opening (with a bottle of red prepaid too, of course!).
All kind wishes and au revoir!

The Regal Cinema, Evesham has been a favourite place of ours since it opened nearly 10 years ago. Always pleasant, helpful and courteous staff and great comfort for film watching. Now they can get films as they come out it has become a real jewel on the local entertainment list.
We have been to many live shows there too which are always good.
Here's hoping you get through this tough time and looking forward to returning to your wonderful venue.

What a fabulous Cinema, we love visiting the REGAL Evesham and it was a great to experience as always. We needed a bit of escapism and caught Jungle Cruise with Emily Blunt, Dwayne Johnson and Jack Whitehall, okay it’s not Citizen Kane or Good Will Hunting, however it was a fun filled town hours that kept us laughing.
What we love about the Regal is it’s warm welcome, wonderful atmosphere and at seat service! How good is it to text for that second bag of popcorn delivered discreetly and expertly directly to your seat during the performance. Antonia and Keri were really welcoming and full of smiles which always makes us feel glad to be back.
Finally, if anyone is worrying about returning to watch movies at the cinema, GO we felt really safe, toilets were immaculate and we had no concerns at any point.
In fact it was so good we are heading back Wednesday and Thursday for The Courier and Suicide Squad!

After passing the depressingly derelict Regal for many, many years - and reading unfulfilled promises to repair and refurbish it - we still can't quite believe a company was finally found who did make good on their promises.
Evesham now has a beautifully restored Art Deco cinema, which we can enjoy in great comfort.
As well as the film, we also enjoyed excellent French fries, good coffee and decent wine. It would be good though not to deliver the garlic bread ten minutes before the pizza!
The staff, however, are delightful and could not be more pleasant or helpful. The company has to be viable, and pay its way by making a profit, but it is also one with a vision and love of old cinemas.
It has given something precious back to the community, and we don't take it for granted but appreciate it. Thank you.

Hi, yes tickets can be purchased on the door but we do recommend you book in advance so you don't miss out on your favourite seats and you get a choice of what we have available. By booking in advance over the phone you can also get any food and drink waiting for you rather than queueing in the bars, saving you a lot of time.
