After reading all of the reviews, it was debateable whether this was worthwhile visiting. We did visit and were pleasantly surprised. We spent 4 hours in total wandering around, purchased Christmas presents, household gifts and had lunch and afternoon tea. The food was wholesome, nutritious and good quality, (not earthmoving) arrived within 8 minutes of ordering. The cakes were fresh.... More

Well worth going for a visit to see all the various items on sale. Some unique items from gifts to clothing and furniture. Also small garden centre. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The place to go for the more unusual gift.

Always worth a visit, but the catering side needs an update. Given the GBP's love of (a) shopping and (b) food then the butcher's shop here is great, but the cafe side is not. The mince pies should have a BDA warning, the cakes are dry, the service slow, the food dull, the menu set in the 1970's. Suggest they... More

Lots of stalls but just somehow missing something in terms of finding Christmas presents I'm afraid. The food in the cafe/restaurant was quite good and not too expensive but overall it was a disappointing visit.

We passed this lovely place the evening before by chance when going to our accommodation. We got there a few minutes early on Sunday morning, but the car park soon started filling up with people arriving to do their Christmas shopping. We spent a good 2 hours looking at all the departments. Lots of variety, ladies, men's and children's clothing... More

A number of different shops to browse for something different. A cafe on site , but the service if a little iffy, We bought some beef from the butchers, and some artisan bread , which we have eaten and was superb. The Wine shop is worth a visit and they have the best tasting section we have ever seen. Before... More

The three old farts decided to have our weekly lunch at The Hop Pocket this week. The food was very good but the service oh dear was not very good, we had our meal what can only be described as relayed. In all fairness they did give us a free drink and the girls were very pleasant all said and... More

It says on the 'blurb' that dogs are welcome on leads. This is totally untrue. I was there yesterday without my dog and I saw a lady carrying hers a very small daxie. Not only was the dog no where near to touch anything but she was shown nothing but hostility by the lady in the gift shop. It was... More
