A magical place with a long history. You get a tour guide with a vast knowledge. You can return after one each day a walk about at your own pace, the tours last about 45 minutes.

Very friendly informative hosts. Interesting place, although I’d have preferred to do a morning tour if I’d realised in advance they were on.

Had a great trip here at the weekend. All the Staff, paid or otherwise were friendly, informative and professional. This is an interesting spot so full of history. A reenactment group were operating whilst we visited, they too were interesting and awash with knowledge. The coffee shop is reasonably priced, efficient, serving good quality food and drinks. Highly recommended.

It is lovely architecture and the gardens are quaint and peaceful and the latter description is surprising as this place is situated in the middle of noisy city. Apart from the Diglis hotel, this place is the only other place I regularly frequaint as I just love the placent calming atmosphere.

We attended in the afternoon when they weren’t running tours, and found the hosts in each room to be very helpful and informative about the house and it’s history as we explored. This is a lovely Tudor building that has been lovingly restored and the garden would be a particularly nice place for a visit in summer. The cafe opens up on to the garden and if it hadn’t been a rainy winter day we would have spent more time there with a cuppa and maybe some croquet on the lawn.
