Visited on the off chance of riding to the top as website said expect queues but there wasn’t any. Good value, pleasant and helpful staff. We had a great view of Aber from the top, fantastic trip. Cafe good for snacks and a small gift shop which the kids were eager to spend their money in (2 Welsh dragons purchased!)

Having failed to ride the railway last year we returned. We found the staff friendly and the ride pleasant. There is now much better disabled access as a lift has been installed at the top station, and it's clear that a lot of money has recently spent on the whole concern. Only problem was that the side windows don't open, which made for a very hot journey - I guess this wasn't a problem pre-Covid, but the carriages are now split into separate compartments with partitions. The Covid precautions and cleaning were exemplary.

Enjoyable trip although social distancing was causing queues. Wet and windy at the top but the view was definitely worth it - thank a warm coat!

Magnificent alterations to allow people with disabilities to have the same experience that everyone else has. I understand it was only completed in December 2020 with donations from the council and others. Although the road from the sea front to the ticket office was rather steep, the back road was less of a gradient but busy with parked cars. One step up to the ticket office. New tarmac zig zag path up to the train entrance, rather steep if you are self propelled or pushing a large person. Limited space in the last carriage for a wheelchair, pushchair or small mobility scooter that I use plus room for 4 adults, with good views of Aberystwyth when going up and down. Staff direct you at the top to the brand new lift which takes you up the last stretch. Others get off the train and walk up a steep bank of steps. When you come out of the lift building and leave the concreted area the path is rough gravel that goes to the grassed areas. A bit bumpy but doable. Well worth any effort for the tremendous views from the top. You are allowed to stay up at the top as long as you like. Plenty of places to sit and soak up the views. Cafe first class. Ice creams perfect for a treat any day and they even have a disabled loo. I was well impressed with the whole set up. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. Very Covid safe. We will return. Thank You.

An easy way to see the spectacular views from the top. It was so clear that we could see Snowdon. Also another railway for my railway buff husband to tick off his list.
