Travelling on the Vale of Rheidol Railway is the finest way to see the stunning Rheidol Valley. We pass through wide open fields, woodland and rugged mountain scenery as the line twists and turns clinging to the hillside gradually climbing nearly 700ft (200m)from Aberystwyth to reach our destination at Devil’s Bridge. Birds of prey such as Red Kite and Buzzards are regularly seensoaring high above the valley floor and breathtaking views can beenjoyed by all.

Lovely scenic trip.

It was a blustery day but still this train trip was amazing. The scenery was fantastic! Lovely cafe at the Devils Bridge end - really good value.

One of the busiest little trains of Wales. It has just had its best year to date. Really busy in the summer. Good views but some can be obscured in the summer because of the leaves. Good day out plenty to do in Devils bridge

When I visited Wales last summer, I had the opportunity to travel with this lovely little steam engine. It was an amazing experience. I travelled all the way up to the top and had an hour to discover, but it wasn't enough. I definitely want to go back! Highly recommend it for everyone!

Had a day out on the train with visiting family and children from 2 years up to 11 years. All had a great day although with a big group of people it was quite expensive.

Just arrived back from a Truly enjoyable trip on the Santa express. From arriving we received our tickets for mulled wine, hot drinks and lovely warm mince pies. Children were given drinks and biscuits. We boarded the train after being entertained by Derek. On our journey we had a visit from Santa, every child received a gift wrapped with there... More

Great railway trip and a fab visit and walk around Devils Bridge at the end. The cafe at Devils Bridge station delivered good food amazingly quickly.

We took a trip on the train to Devils Bridge recently to experience the age of steam. As it was the end of the season there was only one train running but we had two hours to view the falls and have a bite to eat

During the half term holidays with visited the Vale of Rheidol Railway and I must say it was a great adventure. We were made to feel very welcome and the staff were very helpful. The train carriages aren't designed to be wheelchair friendly so thankfully we could carry my sister onto the train, with the wheelchair being placed in the... More
