I was up late one night and I saw this fantastic constuction glowing under the moon light. So I went up there and went to the bathroom. Only 4 stars because of the slight smell of urine.

I'm all for experimental architecture - to many buildings are too homogeneous. I hate to agree with the general public concensus (that this is a blot on the landscape), but for once I do. It has no perceivable function, no aesthetic qualities, no reason to...More

I was in Bangor and came across the bad press for this piece of art, hence felt inclined to visit. It is a rather odd piece and not the best in terms of execution, however, I quite liked the contrast of it’s unusual shape and...More

This strange looking building coloured in lime green which is situated below the Pontio building is supposed to be the artists interpretation of a miners cabin. What else can I say other than it's a waste of money and would be more appropriate on the...More

Just no... The whole thing is completely pointless. Such a shame because where it's located, Pontio, is an okay place. The outside bit it lovely, but this big green blob ruins it all.

I like this piece for all the wrong reasons: I love the negativity it generates within people, the fact it's an eyesore, ugly- or a hideous waste of money. I don't think it's a good piece of art, but I do think the negative opinions...More

Thousands of pounds for an artist to produce this thing. It`s supposed to represent a miners cabin.Local people were up in arms about this blot on the landscape but were told they didn`t know about art how condescending.I was behind the lorry carrying this to it`s...More

its a hideous thing in front of such a nice old building and next to a brand new building, thousands of pounds worth of money wasted on this strange green blob, when I passed it the first time I just though, what the hell Is...More

Whoever sanctioned this wants lining up and showering with a certain body waste, in my humble opinion. You've got the beautiful old University building and that... hideous monstrosity in front of it? It makes me cringe every time I see it. Art my backside.

I could call it a green ****, but Trip Advisor might not accept my review. This is an expensive piece of public "art" outside the very expensive new Pontio arts centre in Bangor. I believe it was named after the shelters built by the Welsh...More
