Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My wife and I visited Caernarfon on Monday the 30th of May and we were fortunate to come across a poster advertising guided walking tours of Caernarfon and the Roman fort. We phoned Melissa and she soon joined us and we enjoyed a very informative and interesting couple of hours.
Melissa made our day bringing the town and the fort to life. We got so much more out of our visit thanks to Melissa’s guided tour.

My wife and I met Melissa at 11am on Saturday 16th April at the designated location and started straight away. We were fortunate to be the only two on this tour as other had cancelled so we had plenty of time to ask lots of questions. The tour starts in the main square and you the meander through the old town, pointing out many historical things that you just don't see. We included the Roman fort guide into our trip and just a short walk away we where treated to one of the Romans most historic forts of Wales. It was a fascinating trip and I thoroughly recommend it to all.

On a windy Saturday morning in February my wife and I joined Melissa for a guided walk around the historic town of Caernarfon. As we wandered along narrow streets we were regaled with stories and information about the history of the area and shown views that we might not otherwise have found. This is an invaluable introduction for visitors and the relaxed and easy paced nature makes it available for anyone. We had the bonus of being informed about an event that evening at the Old Court House which involved a delightful meal with the accompaniment of mellow jazz. Thanks Melissa.

Melissa was very knowledgeable about the town and was able to show us perspectives we would otherwise have missed. We covered all the area within the town walls at a leisurely pace, Melissa still works in the town so has up to date knowledge.

I visited Wales in a group of 16 people from Germany. Emrys took us around Caernarfon, including up on the Walls. He gave us a lot of information on and insights into the history and present of Caernarfon. I really enjoyed the tour because Emrys' passion for Caernarfon and its history was so apparent in his presentation. I definitely recommend Caernarfon Walks. You don't just get to see Caernarfon and get to know its history, but you will also be entertained. Emrys' passion and love for Caernarfon were palpable, and, more importantly, infectious. If you don't already love Caernarfon, you will love it after doing a tour with Caernarfon Walks!

What a wonderful walk and so much enthusiasm and welsh passion. Caernarfon is an old beautiful place. Emrys is full of interesting and exciting information about the town. I wish he had been free to go for a pint with us afterwards. Full recommend taking the time to do this.

This walking tour of Caernarfon was just what we needed as an introduction to the area in which we shall spend some time this year. Emrys was a superb guide, answered our questions and inspired us to go back later to take a closer look at numerous points of interest. Thank you. Linda and Alan, Bolton.
