Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It has been a very wet day today here in Eryri and so I took two clients to the Beacon for the morning as part of a learn to lead climbing course. The Beacon has always been fantastic and the new addition of The Upper Tier is a brilliant resource for instructors and new climbers. Thanks very much for your hospitality and great coffee too.

Really spacious, lots of climbing walls, kids loved it, nice little cafe, an ideal activity on a wet holiday day. Recommended.

Rhai aelodau o'r staff braidd yn wrth-Gymreig.

The kids always really enjoy a Crazy Climb session here, but the staff can be a bit hit and miss. Some kind enthusiastic with feedback, others monosyllabic and seem to want to be anywhere but there!

Would also expect a climbing centre in a Welsh town with one of the highest concentration of Welsh speakers to be supportive of the Welsh language, but some members of staff have been rude when spoken to in Welsh first - especially the cafe staff. If these issues were sorted it would be 5 star review.

Been doing bouldring at beacon for the past 3 months, always chill vibes. Changes bouldring routes every month to keep things fresh and staff is always friendly and accommodating

Expensive. Good for climbing but avoid weekends. Sadly the popularity of crazy climb brings families who cant control their kids into the climbing room. Before you know it the kids are in the bouldering area and running under you. This is also true for the instructors who take the kids - seem to have little to zero control of kids running around. Outside of kids the it’s pretty solid place, seem to ochange routes regularly. Only place that i know thqt doesn’t discount for local NHS workers or mountain rescue folk.§

My nine year old granddaughter had a brilliant time. This was her first time climbing and her instructor was excellent- great having a one to one session. She says she wants to go every time she comes to visit. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Here to see my wife’s nephews climb. My wife and I are both disabled. We had to climb a difficult staircase to access the cafe. There were further stairs and no seating at the viewing area to see them. No disabled parking spaces either. A thumbs down from me. Im sure that if you are able bodied it’s fine and a great place. On the plus the cafe is good

We took our youth group here for the first time. The climbing walls are brilliant for all abilities, but honestly the staff were incredible and they made it such an amazing experience for all the young people. Everyone had a great time and came away proud. Staff so friendly, kind, supportive, and just brilliant. 10/10. Definitely coming back when we next go to Wales!!

We did a family session with our two girls (8 & 13). The tuition and guidance from Jess was first class. Everyone felt fully briefed and safe and the kids were encouraged to do more challenging routes whilst also positively encouraging their efforts. A fantastic holiday experience.
