Great beer, friendly staff, very helpful. Easy to pick up your beer order en route to your holiday or one to take home. Brewery is up a very steep hill, though!! Great views from the top.

Re uploaded review as my previous on was rejected for some reason????

Whenever I stayed at Llysfaen over the years, I've always made a point of visiting here to partake of a drink or two. Over that time, the venue has always been first class. Choice and quality of beverage, staff, venue were always top notch - I've never had a bad experience.

Recently though, I have left the area and on my last day I decided to make one last visit here as a final hurrah. I arrived early evening, (approx. 5ish), to find the brewery was fairly empty which was quite unusual. There was myself, another guy and his dog sitting quietly in a corner and a party of around seven sitting at a table near tot he bar. Considering the average age of the party was late 60's - early 70's, they were acting like a bunch of drunken teenagers. Shouting, laughing at ridiculous volume and one of the party, a woman who kept making these moronic, high pitched screeching noises. As the guy in the corner got up to leave, one of the party shouted some sort of sarcastic "apology fr the noise" after him and the whole bunch erupted into laughter. After finishing my drink, I went to buy what would be my last ever pint there and I asked the staff if they could have a word with the party about keeping the noise down. They were either not inclined to do so or were to scared to do so, so I took my drink outside, luckily it wasn't raining, and finished it there. This is the sort of behavior that will kill a venue like this. Due to it's location, it has so far managed to stay out of sight of the idiots who ruin good bars, but it seems like that is no longer the case. So, my LAST EVER visit at what was a great venue was totally ruined by a bunch of childish morons and weak staff! Thanks!

This was a great experience, so interesting to see how it’s made.
The smells are so good and the sample was fantastic.
Bought some to keep the story alive.
Recommend this tour, if you’re free.

Was visiting North Wales for a quick weekend away, my partner is a huge fan of his beers and ales so we saw this little hidden gem and thought it’s worth a trip. We were not disappointed, we were greeted with a warm welcome. The guy behind the bar went through the beers with my partner which I thought was very nice of him. He was chatting away to us asking where we had come from and what we are doing up in Wales. After we had a drink we brought 5 beers and a couple of glass and they were so helpful and friendly! Definitely worth a visit and without a doubt we will be back for drinks but also a tour of the place itself.

The weather (being February) was not great, and a brewery tour is always a good way of spendng a few hours being both entertained and educated about a local brewery and its roots. Conwy Brewery is no longer in Conwy, but now in Llysfaen, a few miles up in the hills beyond Colwyn Bay. A bit of a drive, but a warm welcome on arrival from our host for the afternoon (James) who proceeded to explain the why and the how to a party of around 15 in greater detail than many a brewery tour I've been on (and I've been on quite a few!) I do enjoy hearing about the origins of how they started, who started them up and why a fairly remote location - which all makes perfect sense when explained. Clearly Conwy are a brewery on the up, despite a lot of local competetion, James was an excellent and at £10 including three drinks, it's worth the effort visiting. Oh and the beer is very good aswell, try Welsh Pride and Beachcomber for a good comparision.

Went on Saturday 21 December. Five of us on the tour taken by James, who was knowledgeable and very personal. The brewery is a real local success story, great its doing so well.

After the tour we had three halves of different beers in their homely bar, all very enjoyable. Many thanks
