Although some of it is in ruins there is still plenty to see once in the grounds. The structure at the back is still intact has some interesting arch work inside, with a duck pond at the back and grassed areas to enjoy

Come into Llangollen via the Horseshoe Pass and stop at this haven of tranquility. Beautiful surroundings, incredible ambience; cannot be bettered, and then drop into the beauty that is Llangollen. Miss it and weep.

A stunning place, I have been here a few times and it is always beautiful to see it (a bit creepy at night though), well worth a visit if you are in the area, and there is a little like tea shop next to it...More

We were on a walk and thought we would pay a visit as we were passing. To be honest there isn't much to look at inside (after paying £14 for a family of 4) that you can't see outside.

Wasn't expecting much (as my son said - not another ruin - they all look the same!) But we all thoroughly enjoyed it. It's amazing and beautiful and well kept (for a ruin). Very peaceful. There was some information boards to learn about the Abbey....More

£3.50 bargain. So many of these are derelict and have little or no information - this had a small upstairs area and boards to read. Best to go on a brighter day.

Fantastic - very atmospheric and much bigger than we expected. Lovely Tea room nearby. Free entry with English Heritage card.

We stayed in a cottage opposite this site. The Abbey looks great, but spoilt by the surround camp site/sites Which strangely are not shown in any of the tourist information images !!
