Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely waterfall, only £2 entry but we'll worth it, free parking nearby and cafe and toilets on site, definitely worth a visit if your passing by

As we were in the area we decided to stop here. Can’t comment on the toilets or cafe. Car park ok size but would help if people parked using some common sense and not just abandon their vehicles.
So you have to pay to get through a turnstile (£2 per person) this is an absolute joke. It is stated it is to maintain the paths. Well I couldn’t see what my money was being spent on. You cannot get close to the waterfall, you see the river and waterfall at different points as you walk down the path. As there has been so much rain of late the river and falls were fast and loud. It was interesting to see the sheer power of this but I wouldn’t recommend to anyone to rush and visit. You do come back up a different way.

A short and easy 10 minute walk from the cafe of the same name to the nearby Falls - Swallow Falls are prettier and larger but this is still worth visiting.

A short easy walk, with pretty scenery. It costs £2 per adult to get in, which you can pay cash or contact less. The contactless had a few issues. It's pretty and quite an easy walk, but very short. Probably a good one if you can't walk that far.

unfortunately the coin machine swallowed my £2 but the gate never clicked to open. I could see the last £1 coin I put in and upon tapping the machine heard a coin fall but still no entry. Used card which worked. Paid twice. Maybe bank holiday weekend the coin box was full?
Nice short walk but very slippery in places.
Enjoyed a nice coffee and cake at the cafe afterwards.
I mentioned the coin problem but it's run by a separate company.

Lovely Waterfall, however I wish somebody would have made us aware that half the path was shut off so we couldn't enjoy the full walk. It was a 10minute experience and had to walk back up instead of going around and perhaps further down. I will never know!

We paid for the walk and whilst I don't begrudge the £4 for two people, I felt a little ripped off given the short experience. I understand that the paths need to be kept maintained but please make people aware that not all is open due to maintenance!

Nice little trail, difficult views of the water falls and not great for fear of heights or eldery / people with walking difficulties. Lots of climbing and woodlands manoeuvring. Great for children of all ages

Free car park at the cafe so off we go didn't see a sign about a charge until you get to the gate £2 each we was there so we paid ..uneven under feet until you get to viewing platform, waterfall not that eventful probably down to river levels low!! Walked back to cafe for a cuppa sat out in the sun where we watched quite a few people walk in (locals maybe) and walk down the exit path has the exit has no gate and we also overheard a member of staff telling a customer telling them to do that way so £6 pound down the pan for us hence won't be calling again

SimonS5392, Thank you for your review, we were sorry to hear that you regarded paying £2 for the waterfall walk a waste because others were being dishonest. As the Conwy Falls is on private land, we do rely upon the fee for maintenance and insurance costs so that we can keep the trails open for people to visit. We are under obligation to keep the waterfall walk as natural as possible due to it being situated in an SSSI so it will be uneven in places and unfortunately we have no control over how much rain there has been. However, thank you for your feedback and we hope you may change your mind and consider visiting again in the future.

I felt that you had to be quite athletic to access the river at the base of this waterfall, most people were leaping from rock to rock. The walk started at the turnstile (nominal payment I think) and progressed along a marked forest route to the top, with a place to take photos.
Around the bend of the river after the falls some people were swimming in the calmer places.
When you are at the base of the falls there were some natural places where you could eat your packed lunch if you had brought one.

Paid the £2 fee to enter expecting it to be maintained in a similar way to swollow falls,,it was not! Very unsafe path running alongside a steep drop into the gorge with a solid hand rail at first which just then became wire and old wood ,the path was awful,a hazaed waiting to happen,I am agile and had sensible walking boots on but still felt that if i didnt take great care then it would be so easy to trip over, and have no support to prevent a tumble over the edge

Thank you for your review Y6471FJtraceyb, access to the Swallows Falls is concreted, the Conwy Falls are in a Site of Special Scientific Interest and as such we are obliged to keep the trails as natural as possible. There is a large sign explaining that the walk is unsuitable for some - such as the elderly and those of restricted mobility and suitable footwear is advised. You do need to take care as you would in any natural environment which featured tree roots, rocks and cliff edges. Having said that we are always undertaking ongoing maintenance to improve the pathways and fences where it is possible to do so and we will take your feedback onboard.
