The Railway museum is a good place to visit and take children as you can take a ride on the little train. There is also lots of big trains coming to the station

Really enjoyed this very interesting museum, great railway layouts, lots of interesting artefacts and a super large model complete with a recording of the history. Lovely ladies in the shop also. Don't miss it if you love railway history .

We had a fantastic day here while on our recent holiday. Our little boy is crazy about trains and this is his favourite museum by far. Lots to see and do and very reasonable prices. Can't wait to visit again next year....

Us two big kids went on this little train yesterday, it was £2 each adult. It can be found next to the main train station.
