This is a quiet and beautiful lake with spectacular Snowdonian views. This was not my first visit and will not be my last. The mountains are dappled with snow at this time of year making them even more beautiful.

The views across the lake are exceptional, with a choice of trials to wander along, we walked along the south side of the lake, access to easy and fairly level. During the season there a small streamer offering trips around the lake.

A great spot if slightly overrun with photographers queueing up at the famous tree! Think I'll return at a slightly quieter moment with my camwra.

There is so much beauty in such a small area. The views, the attractions and the peace of this area is captivating.

A great walk around the lake wonderful scenery and many photo opportunities. Should not take most people more than 2 to 3 hours plenty of stop off points to take in the views.

We were told that the man who ran the boats has very recently died and the boat is operated occasionally by his family but I am not sure if this is just at weekends. If you are staying in Llanberis, the tourist information... More
