National trust stately home and superb grounds. Plenty of knowledgeable staff around to guide you through the house or just give advice and historical knowledge. We decided to join to visit whenever for a small sum every month, which entitles us to visit any national trust property in U.K. Definitely worth a visit to discover how the Yorke family lived... This was a real workhouse and well worth a visit. Unfortunately most of the inside areas have been used by other organisations over the years and this leads to a lack of authenticity in places. However there are enough areas of interest for me to give it five stars and the guide who showed us around delivered an interesting and... More

Great place at any time of the year. Always walk the dog in the woodland as they understandably don't allow dogs in the formal gardens. Kids love it. Views over the river are lovely. As NT members we sneaked in to the cafe after our walk for a sweet treat for the kids (and big kids!).

Stopped in whilst in the area. Whilst much of the house is closed for the season for cleaning, etc, there's still much to see that make the house a worthwhile stop regardless of the season. We particularly enjoyed the focus on the servants in the portraits and in general which made a real change to the norm. The poetry theme... More

We were blessed with the weather the day we went, dry and winter sun. So we had a super walk around the lovely grounds with interesting features and very pleasant garden with ponds and topiary. Then we had a guided tour around some the ground floor (mainly servants quarters). I have been when the house is fully open and intend... More

Don't know about the house, but the grounds allow a circular route of 2 ish hours that my dog Otik really loves. Theres a little river Clywedog that she plays in on the way. Quality for dogs.

Erddig isn't the largest of country houses, but it has an interesting history (I'll leave you to visit and find that out for yourself. It is a very nice place to visit and is good value for money. There are a couple of nice 'eateries' on site too, so you don't need to rush round. The parkland is open all... More

We visit a few times a month throughout the year. Always something to see in the lovely gardens in all seasons. We invariably visit the garden tea room or the upstairs restaurant. The Bara Brith is always on the menu. The best tasting BB anywhere in the UK!!!!!!!!!!!

My partner and i wondered up for a stroll with our friends 2.5 yr old, we stumbled across the very busy apple festival. it was a fab day out with loads to do and music and very kid friendly. the house and grounds were stunning as normal and the apple festival and lovely weather made it even better!
